Really nice random find after my friends and I went to the nearby lavender farm. We all had pasta. I had the special of the day with seafood, and it was great. Portions were generous and ingredients were really fresh. Everyone loved the food. Service was super accommodating and just really nice to talk to. They grow some of their ingredients in their yard and utilize a lot of the nearby farms. They also mentioned dinner was really different from lunch as they offer tasting menus and I'll be happy to make the trip just to try. Really loved it here. More...

This is the finest restaurant in Milton... I love their food! My wife loves the risotto and pizza. It's a beautiful setting, and the people working there are extremely nice. They even remembered us even though its been a month since our last visit. I can not recommend them enough. More...

Live 15 minutes away in Milton and discovered Risposta Bistro totally by accident. My wife and I booked and drove over there with no expectations and were totally surprised. Put this restaurant in Oakville and you would have to book weeks in advance. The waitress service was good, and the Manager Patrick Beatty was attentive and very pleasant. I like and ordered 'crostini with mushrooms' and what made this dish excellent was the crostini (I have read Sharon T's review). It was perfect. Main course I ordered was the 'shrimp risotto' special. To me risotto defines how good an Italian restaurant is, it's difficult to cook and serve to perfection, but this chef pulled it off. They were out of the wine we ordered, but the Manager offered us a choice of two considerably more expensive wines at no extra cost. That doesn't happen often. The Tiramisu was as good as it gets. Our bill was $158 plus tip of which half was cost of wine. It doesn't claim to be fine dining, but it has the potential to be. I prefer restaurants that are carpeted as it deadens the sound. The clientele dress was mixed from classy to jeans and t-shirt! The time it took to get the food to the table could be improved upon. A delightful addition to country dining in Campbellville (near Milton just off Highway 401 - Guelph Line exit). Courteous  service, reasonably priced wine and excellent range of dishes to choose from. My Gnocchi Gorgonzola probably the best ever...my companions Linguine Pescatore and Atlantic Lobster Pappardelle were well received. Pizza for the kids looked good with choice of toppings. It took about 45 minutes for our dishes to arrive but the kitchen had just opened so will see what happens on a future visit. Will try non-pasta dishes next time.  Opened about a year ago, discovered it by chance and it seems to be now be No. 1 in the immediate region by all accounts. Main course menu prices are higher than one might anticipate but the food quality compensates for paying close to Oakville or Toronto prices. More...
