Overall pleasant experience! Matthew showed me the unit, Maral assisted with the offer, paperwork, and questions for the landlord and Alexis assisted with keys and questions. Responsive and friendly. Absolutely inflexible and do not respect wishes of tenants. They gave my contact info to repair people, even though I expressly said for security reasons I did not give permission for my phone number to be handed out. Additionally as I’m moving out and they have listed the unit, the listing that they have up for the unit still has lies in it. I already notified them once that they stated an incorrect building age (which is important if you are looking for a rent controlled building). But the posting still advertises a different building and a rooftop pool. There is no rooftop pool. Finally, they are refusing to return my key deposit at the time I am returning my keys. I said I would keep the keys as collateral as they had 60 days notice to prepare and it is unreasonable to have me return keys but wait a week for my deposit. Then they threatened to list the keys as “lost” and would keep my deposit. So I requested a letter that would state when I returned the keys and the money they owe me from the deposit and the date they promise to reimburse me by so I have some paperwork in the event they don’t reimburse me. Their response was it isn’t part of their workflow to draft up a letter of this nature. They are bullies and I do not recommend renting via this company. More...
