Nellie was great with my chihuahua. He had a lot of anxiety, not unusual for his breed, but he also suffers from chronic pain so his trust issues and anxiety are a struggle. Nellie was patient and supportive and before you knew it, he was confident and playful and couldn't wait for training. She was great at focusing on meeting him where he was at vs. forcing him into what he wasn't ready for. Our family adopted a puppy and we were looking for 1 on 1 training. After being referred to Nellie in Stittsville we booked our sessions. She has an affinity for dogs and taught us some key commands. We still use the commands daily and the tips she provided.
It was remarkable, how our 9 month old puppy went from pulling us in the leash to walking nicely instantly.
We appreciate Nellie’s enthusiasm and how she helped us with boarding when we were in a last minute situation.
