His tricks and magic are excellent, but the true essence and magic of the show is his ability to connect with each child and make the show meaningful to each of them. We had six boys at the party and they were well entertained for the entire 60 minutes. This review is overdue. My wife and I hired Max & Maxine Entertainment for our wedding in 2016. During our planning stage I was looking for an entertainment angle during cocktail. Live band? A little dance show? Perhaps just letting the DJ play some music? Nope. Had to be a magician! So I Googled for a magician in Montreal and after doing all of my searches I narrowed it down to Max & Maxine Entertainment. I found that they crossed off all the x's on my list in terms of what I was looking for. Everything was done efficiently. Communication was always on, and Jonathan walked me through the entire setup and how things would go. On the day of the wedding I was lucky enough to catch Max & Maxine working their magic with the crowd as they were awing everyone! They even had enough time to do some magic tricks for my wife and I which was great! Later that week I got great feedback about how great the cocktail hour was with the magicians, and how they were PERFECT for the cocktail. I would highly encourage you to pick Max & Maxine Entertainment as your go-to cocktail entertainment gig. Everyone loves magic and it never gets old. Thanks Max & Maxine for being incredibly professional, nailing the cocktail hour and really just working your magic on my special day. I called several magician for my 70th birthday party which included grandchildren from 5 to friends at 75. Max immediately made an impression on me as enthusiastic dynamic and engaging when we spoke on thew phone. HIs phone presence was reinforced as he did his show for my friends and families. I got many remarks about his magic ant style. He is a true professional and very honest. When I overpaid him $50 by error he immediately phoned me when he noticed and insisted he return the money that night. I suggested he mail it but he said he will sleep better if he returns the money. Max and Maxine have an incredible way of drawing you in with their magical act. A few years ago I had the pleasure of being at a fundraiser and was approached by "Max" who bedazzled us with his magic and card tricks and just before finishing, he was now wearing my husband's watch! As he continued to walk the room finding his next suspects, we followed him trying to figure out how he did it. After watching him perform his finale on four more other participants , we were none the wiser! But everyone had the same reaction of joy, bewilderment and having enjoyed the time spent engaging with this duo! This act is a fantastic act if you are entertaining in any way.
