Kevin and Alex did an outstanding job replacing old pot lights in our front foyer. They installed a mix of flat and gimbal lights – the gimbals which were adjusted to highlight our artwork. Kevin stuck to his original estimate, even when the scope ended up being a little larger than planned. He even threw in a fancy new dimmer switch and remote control at no extra charge. I met Kevin about three years ago during a stressful period when my home had water damage that led to unexpected electrical issues. From the moment Kevin stepped in, he not only resolved the problems — he uncovered dangerously poor electrical work done by the builder that I never would’ve known about. Kevin didn’t just patch things up — he brought everything up to proper code, taking the time to make sure it was done right, safely, and professionally. Since then, Kevin has been my go-to (and only!) electrician. I trust him completely. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, humble, and always punctual — which, let’s be honest, is rare in the trades. I highly recommend Lightspeed Electrical Services for any small or large electrical work needed. Kevin and Alex have performed 2 jobs for us recently. First was a Pot lights installation in our dining room that was completed with care and attention to detail. Second, was a much more involved EV Charger installation. Kevin communicated the details of this installation very effectively from the planning stage to the detailed quote and the day of the installation itself. I was very impressed with how well the installation of the EV Charger went. You can’t even tell that any work was done looking at the outside of our house even though many feet of cable needed to be installed from one side of the home, along the front through our garden, underneath our stone front step, and through the brick into our garage. Kevin and Alex were also very polite and friendly…it is clear that they enjoy the work they are performing and take much pride in it being of the highest quality. Kevin installed an ev charger for us and also upgraded our service from 100 amps to 200 amps along with installing a main panel surge protector. He provides exemplary customer service and was an excellent communicator. He was also very punctual, always arriving at designated times. As a master electrician he is very knowledgeable and very patiently explains all details. With some changes required by the ESA, the job was more complex than quoted but Kevin problem solved these issues and then invoiced at the agreed upon price which was fairly priced. Jenn provides excellent office support and was very helpful in coordinating appointments with Toronto Hydro. I can't say enough about the professionalism, integrity and knowledge Kevin showed while investigating the loss of power in the upstairs portion of my home. He investigated thoroughly, found the source and determined it was a relatively simple fix. Even installed a couple of plugs for me.

Kevin De Freitas, master electrician at Lightspeed Electrical, is amazing. I had 2 light fixtures that I wanted to install, nothing too complicated. A small job, basically. I researched to find an electrician who could come to get the job done. I received some quotes from some local businesses, and the quotes were very high. When Kevin quickly replied to me, he asked for pictures to have an idea of the type of job. I sent him the pictures, and he replied with a very eloquent and detailed explanation of the type of installation I needed. He quoted a very reasonable price and told me he could come complete the job in 2 days. Kevin is efficient, he cares about his clients...he installed those 2 pendant lights as if he was putting them up in his own house, with precision and care. He was careful, clean, professional, he is an expert. Kevin is honest. I recommend his services to anyone looking to have some electrical work done, either big or small.
