They e mailed me a reminder yesterday for my appointment this Saturday. I discussed that my appointment was last week abd that I wasn't sure that I wanted to proceedd with them, given that they couldn't get the appointment correct. The whole experience was explained to us in detail so we knew exactly how things were going to go, Prior to the first day which is "prep day", we got an email explaining step by step what we had to get ready and what was going to happen. I would not recommend that anyone use Kitchen Makeovers for their renovations. The quality of the work that I received was abysmal. The vinyl wrapping of my kitchen cabinets was absolutely unacceptable. I was informed the job was complete (unfortunately I was at work and could not visually verify the quality of the work until I got home later). Stupidly, I trusted that the work was done somewhat correctly and I paid most of the invoice prior to seeing the "finished" product. Big mistake. The vinyl was bubbling in multiple places, many vinyl trim pieces were missing, 2 of my cabinet doors were missing, almost all of the vinyl trim pieces were peeling off, and what peices were installed were done so poorly that you could clearly see the old cabinet color underneath. They tried to cover parts of their lousy workmanship with caulking but they also did a poor job at that. The workers also left a mess in my kitchen by leaving drill dust in the cabinets, old cabinet hardware discarded in the cabinets, and left over adhesives stuck on my brand new hardwood floors. There was also dust left in my hallway which my strata was not happy about. To be fair, they offered to come back and fix the mistakes. However, the initial work was done so poorly and with such a lack of care for my home that I did not trust them stepping foot in my home again. Tried to get my money back but they only refunded a small portion of the overall cost so I ended up paying $6000 for cabinets that I now need to have replaced by a legitimate cabinet company. Please do not use this company. Complete waste of money. At no point did the owner ever reach out to me throughout the process showing a clear disinterest in providing any kind of quality service or client care. More...
