I noticed someone else provided a one-star review for communication issues. I wanted to echo that sentiment.I booked an appointment with Samuel through classpass for 28 credits (I think that’s at least a $60 value given classpass has a 24 credit membership for $59– fyi the studio is no longer on classpass). He had to cancel last minute, which I found out once I reached the studio, as he texted me so about 20 minutes before the session when I was already en route. No big deal, the other trainer there was kind enough to give me a tour of the studio before I left, which I appreciated!Over the following month, it was impossible to reach Samuel to reschedule our class. To his credit, he did respond once with a slot that did not work with my schedule (e.g., during my work day), which I told him and offered another time (and didn’t get another response for almost 3 weeks). After over a month, I stopped trying to reach out as I was simply not getting an answer. Keep in mind, Samuel only cancelled our session over text, he never cancelled it through classpass, so I never got my credits back, leading me to lose the equivalent of $60 worth of credits.I totally understand last minute emergencies coming up, but what I don’t appreciate is the lack of communication and disregard for a client’s time and payment. The studio looked great and from my brief interaction with the trainer who gave me the tour, it seems like the trainers are very capable when you can get in touch with them. I called twice, asking to book a session with two different trainers and I got never heard from them. Jan 2: I called, to book a session with Jaclyn Li as I wanted a female that specializes in rehab and mobility. I gave my availability and the lady on the phone said Jaclyn will email me and work out a date if my availability doesn’t work. Jan 5: I didn’t hear from Jaclyn. I called again, requesting a session with Courtney Dyke-Elliott. The lady on the phone said Jaclyn just got back to her, saying she can’t take me on since my availability doesn’t work (contrary to what the lady said on Jan 2nd, that Jaclyn will “work out a date”). The lady said she’ll let Courtney know of my availability and Courtney will contact me. I EMPHASIZED that I have a very flexible schedule, so I’m available a lot more than the original availability I gave. Jan 8: I still haven’t received any communication from any trainer at Placemade. Trash service. Trash communication. Trash trainers (at least Jaclyn and Courtney). More...

It's so great for Placemade to now have TWO Locations! Similarly to the Richmond location, this space is state of the art, spacious, relaxing and welcoming environment to bring in clients for training.
