We enrolled our two bulldogs - one Frenchie, and an English - with ITrainK9. The experience was great. Our frenchie in particular is anxious and reactive. We wanted to work on getting to a point where they were not following me around the house, not being as reactive to other dogs and scenarios on walks and have more structure in the house. There is no question they learned these skills at the training program. Translating them at home is a work in progress. We learned quickly that training the owners is just as important and training the dogs. The go home lesson has been really helpful, a LOT of information, and we are taking it one day at a time. We primarily communicated with Dan who was super patient and knowledgeable and fantastic to work with. If you are serious about training then this is definitely the place. We enrolled Kingston for the 2 week course and his results have been great since taking him home. Kingston had all of the typical Frenchie behaviours. He was a very high energy Velcro dog. He barked for absolutely everything and would be constantly in your face if you had food. Walks weren’t enjoyable because of the constant pulling. It’s been a few days at home and we’ve just been working on place and crate. I’m surprised with how well he’s doing in the crate and staying in his place. I can move around without worrying that I may trip on him. Walks are also so nice now. I am thrilled that I can go on longer stretches instead of just walking around the block (which is like a small circle). The staff has also been wonderful. Kat was really helping with answering any question I had regarding enrolling Kingston. She was very patient with my many questions. His trainer Dan was really great with King and was really helpful when teaching us during the go home lesson. He was also really good with getting back to my questions after getting home. I really liked the scheduled updates so I knew when I would expect them and the progress made so far. The online course provided and the documents sent have also been helpful for reviewing how to continue properly training Kingston. Lastly I wanted to thank everyone there who helped Kingston when he got sick. Everyone did a great job taking care of him - from driving him and picking him up from the vet and administering the meds provided. I also appreciated that they kept him longer free of charge to ensure that he had extra time to rest before continuing his training. I really appreciate the extra care taken with him. I just picked up my 2.5 yr old golden doodle Leo from a 4 week program at iTK9. Throughout the process, I received updates 3 times a week on what he was learning and how he was progressing. The structure, calmness, and attention to his trainer was something I’ve not ever seen in Leo before. Getting home ( it’s barely been a day) he is excited to be back in his home environment although, it’s evident he misses Dan. Leo was barely crate trained (at home) and his first night home, he could only calm down and sleep while in a crate! I look forward to continuing to build structure for us at home and working with Dan and the team at iTK9 to make sure we are stable at home. I enrolled two of my one-year-old miniature poodles, Bruce and Leo, in the unlimited board and train program with iTrainK9. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made in this century. Bruce and Leo had all the typical problems associated with young, enthusiastic, energetic, and curious poodles (or maybe just uniquely to my dogs, 🤷‍♂️). They leashed pulled during walks, sat, stayed, and down for only a second, chased anything from a falling leaf to a squirrel, barked at anything that moved, and selectively listened to commands. After eight weeks of training with Dan, the principal trainer for my dogs, Bruce and Leo can now walk loose-leash and off-leash, sit down and stay until released, recall in their most distracted situations, and not bark at random things or noises. The online lessons, a shoutout to Jason (itraink9 founder and trainer), taught me how to manage my dogs’ reactivity on walks and other skills to continue training them afterward. Daily short videos of my dogs’ training helped me learn to train properly. In short, all of the above problems are corrected. Regarding the trainer, Dan (sorry for not knowing your last name), he worked hard and ticked all the boxes I had requested, besides the obvious problems. He clearly communicated what he would train them on and executed it. His enthusiasm and knowledge gave me assurance that I made the right choice. Dan and his colleagues reformed my dogs without changing their natural happy-go-lucky demeanour. After the program concluded, Dan followed up to make sure that my dogs were still doing as I expected. He helped me refine my training techniques with Bruce and Leo at home. At itraink9, they encourage me to reach out to them if I have any questions or concerns, which makes me feel less daunting trying to train my dogs by myself. We took our very anxious dog Ares in for training and they did not disappoint! He gets distracted considerably less, listens a lot more, and follows the place command perfectly. I can't say that all his anxiety is gone, but they've helped us through the hardest first steps to getting him confident, and we're working together with our dog to find that confidence in himself. Koda was enrolled in the 2 week short cut program. ITK9 provided Koda with the basic skills upon which we will be able to continue during our at home training. We saw a noticeable difference in his ability to heel and willingness to stay in his crate. There was lots of information provided prior to his stay, weekly updates and videos during his stay, as well as a 'go home' lesson and follow up lesson providing us with feedback for continued training at home. I cannot say enough amazing things about the 2-week board and train program our dog George just completed! Before going in, George struggled with settling in the house, walking politely on leash and reactivity. The transformation in just two weeks has been incredible. George had learned how to relax on his place and settle with little direction. Our walks are no longer a battle — he walks on a loose leash with ease, which makes getting out with him so much more enjoyable. Dan, Mikayla & the entire iTrainK9 team were absolutely wonderful to work with. Their communication throughout the program was excellent — I received regular updates and videos, which made me feel included in George’s progress every step of the way. The follow-up after the program has also been amazing. They took the time to walk us through the training, answer all our questions, and make sure we felt confident continuing George’s progress at home. Koda did the 2 week short cut program. We enjoyed seeing all the client updates over the 2 weeks which included videos of Koda in action. We saw an incredible improvement on his ability to heel and pass other dogs. Our dog got off his leash once and wasn’t responding to our recall. We had previously tried two different trainers. We asked around and itrainK9 was recommended to us by a family member. After a lot of research we chose iTrainK9 from the reviews they received, the prompt responses to questions and the information on their website. After a phone consultation with Kat, we chose the 4 week package. Our 8 month old lab was a rescue, had been on a farm, never wore a collar or leash and had free roam. We tried one on one training and group training, none of which were working for us. When we dropped Bailey off, everything felt right. We met some staff (Mikayla, Dan and Ashley?) who were very friendly and helpful. Mikayla walked us through the program, inquired about our concerns and explained the next 4 weeks. We left leaving Bailey knowing he was in good, professional care. The frequent written, pictures AND video updates of Bailey's progress was amazing and comforting. The promptness in replying to our questions was much appreciated. All of the staff we met were kind, friendly and helpful. The online tutorials, both written and videos were amazing and extremely helpful. The training session with Dan on our pickup day was great. Dan explained everything so well, gave us a lot of tips and we felt confident after the session that we could continue the training at home with Bailey. We look forward to the next few sessions. Our first 2 days home were basically stress free. Bailey was calm, he walked with us, not dragging us, he was so well behaved, it was amazing. No barging out the door, no chasing after distractions, no nipping, etc. While my wife was out for a walk with Bailey for the first time, a passerby commented "what a well behaved dog"! My pup, a crazy but sweet Australian shepherd, was a part of the 4 week program, he had issues with leash training, majority of commands, and a nipping/herding issue. I placed him at iTrainK9 and trusted them with my best friend; as told I was given updates 3 times a week with pictures and videos of progress, and just watching my puppy grow into an adult at his peak months of what most call the dino phase of aussies! Furthermore, they went above and beyond, and called me to let me know just before the fourth week that they believe he would highly benefit from a fifth week. From my experience and understanding of many facilities and private practice, there is failure of honesty and genuine care, rather the team at iTrainK9 show such respect and compassion for owners, and you can see the love for all the canines, just wanting what is best. I went to pick him up today, and rather than just a hand off Dan spent over an hour explaining everything to me, and practicing everything together. He even let my parents have a go! Not only such, but for the next 5 weeks I can have either in person or virtual refresh training sessions - I love knowing that they genuinely want to up keep the training. We brought our boy Moose for puppy training here for 3 weeks and it is such a great facility! The staff are excellent, so well trained and keep you up to date while your dog is in training. We picked up Bear yesterday after having him do the 2 week program at ITK9 and I can’t say enough about the improvements and progress they were able to accomplish in such a short time . He now walks by our side without the reactivity of other dogs . And no more leash pulling . Bear will let people pat him without jumping !! The staff there are truly incredible, caring and supportive . We received an hour training session with Dan at pickup to continue with Bears progress at home and he was very precise, thorough and professional ! We brought our two rescues Pinkie and Lil Louie to iTrainK9 for their board and train as they were not very confident having gone through a very rough start in life. They were not good on a leash and chaos erupted every time someone came to the door. Now they are the very confident, calm walkers and obedient. They never lost their loving personalities. I’ve just picked my dog Noodle up from the three week Great Reset program and I immediately noticed a night and day difference. Dropping him off he was reactive and aggressive towards men and other dogs, commonly jumped up, and had stubborn terrier behaviour. Picking him up and doing the go home training session he is able to calmly walk next to other dogs and be around distractions, recall, and stay in place for lengthy periods of time. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with ITK9! Our dog Koda suffered from aggressive and over protective behaviours, so we were nervous going into the training process. From the initial phone call to our take home lesson with Dan, we felt so supported. The team did an amazing job with Koda and getting all the thorough updates were really reassuring. The staff at iTrainK9 were super flexible, understanding and competent in training our high-maintenance corgi. They worked with us to ensure our pup felt safe and comfortable working with them, and they with him. They were accommodating, caring and timely in every interaction with us. We humans and our pooch were all given the necessary tools to create a more enjoyable home and life alongside our giant fur-ball. We just picked up our 1 year old Jack Russell (Russ) yesterday after a 2 week training/boarding session. We previously couldn't take him for a walk because of his reactivity to cars and failure to recall. All I can say is what a transformation! I had such an amazing experience with I Train K9. My 4 year old Blue (lab/shepard) was very reactive and was getting to the point where I dreaded going on walks with him as he would pull me down the street. I called ITK9 I knew they would be the best fit for us. Kat was very supportive over the phone and knew how difficult of a decision it was. She eased my fears over the phone and helped with the registration process. I met with Dan on drop off day and he eased all my nerves and concerns. I knew the whole team would be loving Blue as if they were their own while he was there. Whenever we had questions or concerns the team was so responsive for the 4 weeks and would send updates throughout the week which always brightened my day. We had such a fantastic experience with Oakley’s training! At first, our family was a bit worried about how he would adapt while away and how things would be when he came home, but we truly had nothing to worry about. The team kept us consistently updated on Oakley’s progress, which gave us so much peace of mind. The lessons after picking him up were incredibly helpful and gave us a clear understanding of the “why” behind every behaviour and technique. It really set us up for success at home. The online platform has been a game changer too! Being able to refer back to all the training material made it so much easier to stay consistent. I was planning on moving out on my own soon and figured it would be best to have Atlas fully trained before I did move. Best decision I’ve made!
