I found Rainbow Lunches online as I was in need of ordering lunch for a team of 20 for an upcoming styled shoot project. I contacted Josie for this large lunch order only 3 days before the styled shoot and she was still amazingly accommodating. She took the time out of her evening (as well as the weekend) to make sure my order was everything I needed it to be. I recently hired Pina from Rainbow Lunches to make a cake for my bridal shower. I'm blessed to have met her and chosen her. She is the best..., the most loving, caring genuine person you will ever meet. I told her what cake I wanted and how I wanted it done which was the letter "R". She did an amazing job with the flowers that she handmade them herself. It was beautifully done, just how I always wanted and dreamed of for my special day. Lemon and vanilla was a perfect flavour. Our school began using Rainbow Catering in October, 2016. Josie took time to come to us with food to sample before putting together a menu for the students. The food is always fresh , hot, and homemade. The menu is developed within the guidelines of the Canada food Guide and Ministry of Education nutritional guidelines. The students love the food, and we have had positive feedback from parents as well! In addition, accommodations are quickly made for any food allergies/sensitivities. What inspired you to start your own business?
Based in Ontario, Josie Pina, food enthusiast, is a proud wife and mother of three beautiful boys, now a grandmother, evermore an entrepreneur!
She is the daughter of immigrant parents who, like many Italians, came to Canada for a better life. It was typical for Italian children help their parents in the kitchen, and it was there where she cultivated her talent for creating great food.
A graduate of hospitality at University of Guelph-Humber,
she quickly put her skills to work for top companies such Cara Food Operations and PepsiCo.
After the birth of her youngest child and to strike a balance between work and family she founded Rainbow Lunches which provided healthy meals for children. Schools in the Toronto and surrounding region enjoyed the healthy twist Chef Josie put on some fan favorites like mac & cheese and pasta with meatballs.

After taking some time to mentor and nurture budding entrepreneurs, Josie quickly put her skills back to work cultivating Golden Path Foods.
“Food is my passion and even after long workdays running my business you will often find me in my kitchen creating something to bring family and friends together to the table.”
She continues to dazzle her clients with her catered meals and events and realized that not everyone is as comfortable as she is in the kitchen. Golden Path has created a line of plant-based dry soup mixes that are healthy and delicious. They are super easy to prepare, and every flavor tells a story.
Josie believes that “health is wealth” and that balance is an important part of living. Choose healthy… be strong and live long!
