My wife and I spent a lot of time looking at our options for the right trainer for our 4 month old Yorkie. We've tried private lessons before with our 7 year old Shihtzu, but found it wasn't enough training and our busy schedules made it difficult. We chose to try something new in board and train and a close friend of ours is a past Canine Clarity client. Stella has been home for just over 3 months and we really wanted to give her time before we placed our review. This hole experience really opened our eyes to a lot of things we thought we were doing right but was actually contributing the the issue we were having . Stella is now completely outdoor potty trained, Loves her crate and is doing very well on the leash. We know She's still young but Sal and the team have really kept us educated to not only Stella's needs but also what's needed from us throughout this stage of development. If you have a puppy in need of training, we highly recommend Canine Clarity. The two weeks goes by so fast and they'll keep you up to date the entire time. Can't wait for the obedience program. I rescued Lenny 2 years ago and before the program it was very difficult for me to handle his fear aggression.

My family and I tried the virtual at home lessons for our dog Bruno and they were absolutely fantastic and worth the small investment. The cost is extremely low, Instead of paying $3000 To $6000 for boarding or having to take our dog to sessions every week or month and no support after. Our schedules are super hectic, they gave us a free assessment, we selected our program and we had pretty much 24 hour access to our behaviourist on a private chat, lessons each week and materials to go over at home. We really like the program because we got to do it ourselves and there was no rush. We had Bruno at a few trainers prior and it just didn’t work, besides we had no clue what we were doing. I cannot recommend Friendly K9 Dog Training Academy enough.
Sal, Jordan, Sam, Richard and the entire team are absolutely amazing!
From the moment I submitted my “contact us” form to the moment I picked up my Husky, I have nothing but great things to say.
Bella, my 1 year old huksy, like all other huskies, is very stubborn and I couldn’t train her despite endless YouTube videos watched and lots of hours spent trying to train her with treats, patience, repetition and all that. At some point, I hired a trainer who came to my condo and told me to rehome Bella because she wasn’t “trainable”. That really upset me and made me think I made a bad decision on getting my dog and that I would never have a well behaved dog, and I’d be frustrated for the rest of her life…
Well, needless to say Sal and his team worked with her for 3 weeks and WOW!!! Really impressive!!!! It’s like magic (except it’s not, I know it’s a lot of expertise/knowledge, experience and years doing this)….Now I am the one who takes her on a walk and not the opposite, if I stop she sits and stays, she no longer lunges at people or dogs to play. She does what she’s told to do, period. I am still shocked on how obedient she is now. I was able to ride the train back to Toronto with Bella QUIETLY LYING DOWN ON THE FLOOR THE ENTIRE TRIP!!! You guys haven’t seen her on the way there but trust me, it was THE OPPOSITE of this! Total chaos!
Also, throughout her time at the canine, Sal and the team would send me updates on Bella and her progress with voice messages, photos and videos, which is very appreciated. And they’re available to answer questions you might have or things that might come up afterwards, which honestly, it’s what also made me choose them over other canines/trainers.
Bella came back a whole different dog — positively — clean, healthy and with no issues.
I get it, it’s your baby, you have concerns. I did too, BUT if you’re debating whether to go with them or another canine (either because it’s cheaper, closer or whatever reason), I’d seriously consider Friendly K9! They clearly know what they’re doing and they will set you up for success to have a well behaved dog and a great relationship/bond between you and your doggo! ☺️
To Sal and the team, thank you guys so so much for enabling me to love my relationship with Bella and to have a dog I actually enjoy owning! This is priceless! And thank you for all the support and patience with the thousand questions I had and will still have hahaha.

Making that phone call was the best decision I have ever made to get my dog under control. I tried so many different trainers, every single gadget, even a dog behavioural therapist!
! Nothing worked. I couldn't imagine spending that much money for the 6 week program he needed but I had to do it. It broke my heart to leave him that long but I got to see videos every few days and received constant updates. The care and genuine love Sal and his team have for these dogs is admirable.
My almost 2 year old Australian Shepherd had fear anxiety and would bark at everything, jump on people and knew he was in charge. Not anymore!! After 4.5 weeks Sal called to say that Ozzy was a changed dog and didn't need to stay the full 6 weeks. I was shocked to hear, that not only do I get my reformed dog home early but also a refund!! They could have kept him there in a crate and I would have no idea but they didn't. I was blown away.
I'm happy to report that Ozzy is a completely different dog...so calm , still super lovable and he didn't forget me!! As long as I do my homework and do exactly as Sal showed me, this works. Sal even makes himself available 24/7 for any questions or concerns which is so appreciated!

Thank you so much Sal and RS for your amazing work with our 8 month old, German Shepherd, Harley. She attended the Advanced Obedience and off leash E-Collar training for 6 weeks.
She acted aggressively towards other dogs when she entered the program. We could see your hard work almost right away as she gained confidence and trust in herself and was able to interact with other dogs positively. Your communication and customer care was out of this
WORLD! Every video you sent (almost every other day) came first, with a voice commentary and then video which gave us an understanding of what steps she was learning. We felt that she was very loved by your staff as the affection and care “oozed” through the videos. It was also evident that there was a mutual affection between her and the handler, as she constantly looked to him with excitement and an eagerness to please. You always answered our questions with thoroughness and ALWAYS took the time to speak or text with us almost immediately. We felt like your only customer. You assured us each time we texted that she was learning and advancing. It was an amazing day to pick her up and actually see what she had learned in action, with “US” giving her the commands and her “RESPONDING” to us. We were completely floored at how sharply she obeyed the commands. We were full of anxiety when we brought her to you, and now she is a DREAM. We are so excited to spend time with her, having confidence that she is a happy dog. We left with a feeling that we can now bring our dog in any environment and feel confident and in complete control of her.

Let me just start off by saying Sal is an excellent trainer and is very knowledgeable and knew exactly what we wanted for our Doberman Puppy. She was experiencing separation anxiety and was not properly crate trained and within a weeks time had her crate trained. To top it off they were very communicative and sent us updated videos with 24 hour access if we had any questions. Without a doubt would recommend him and his services. 3 week board and train and had her very obedient and no more leash pulling. As well as not having her distracted with her surroundings. Absolutely worth the money I spent with my dog Winny. We had purchased the 4week Aggression/Anxiety program as our dog was way out of hand and we had no clue how to fix this. After doing private sessions with two trainers and literally we got nowhere we reached out to Sal and his team. What inspired you to start your own business?
My inspiration to start my own business in dog training came from a deep-rooted passion for animals and a desire to make a positive impact in their lives and the lives of their owners. Growing up, I always had a love for dogs and a fascination with their behavior. I found joy in understanding them and helping them navigate the challenges they faced, especially those related to fear and anxiety.
As I gained extensive experience working with various trainers training dogs in different programs and seeing the joy that effective communication could bring between dogs and their owners, I realized that I wanted to create an environment where compassion and positive reinforcement were at the forefront. The traditional training methods didn’t align with my beliefs, as I firmly believe that training should be a nurturing process that fosters trust and respect.
