Life Coaching
Helping you meet your goals, overcome obstacles, address unhealthy patterns, foster healthier relationships, prevent burnout, address grief and loss, gain new insights and attitudes, accept difficult circumstances, see new possibilities, match your life choices and behaviours to your true values and objectives, and even achieve your dreams.
Meditation Guidance
Practice and learn how to incorporate a wide variety of meditation styles into your life. Through guided practices and tailor made strategies that suits your strengths, preferences, and schedule, you will be on track for a more peaceful and balanced life with better perspective and equanimity. The type of mediation(s) will be highly dependent on your personality, preferences, and what would be most helpful given your situation. There could be focus on attention, concentration, your senses, breath, the body, visualization, sound, being in the present moment, mindful awareness, movement, and can be guided and also unguided. You will be met where you are, with no experience, or as an expert, and we will work together to help your practice grow, continue, and deepen. I am ready to address your questions, hesitation, complaints, concerns, and preferences. Some clients do not want to work with breath, some want to move from guided to unguided meditation, or from visualization to vipassana and being with things as they are. These practices are known to calm the nervous system, improve attention and focus, allow for the 'pause' needed to improve relationships and unhealthy habits and patterns, and can also improve physical and mental health in many ways.
Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep)
This guided practice is generally done lying down in a very comfortable position and allowing yourself to simply listen to my voice and guidance. You will be invited into a state of deep relaxation and may even fall asleep if this is what your body and mind are needing. The yoga nidra state is a state of deep relaxation with consciousness retained and the guided practice will benefit you in the ways you need, even if you do not enter this particular state. Yoga nidra can help address stress, anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure, effects from trauma, chronic pain and disease, and other health and emotional issues, and with continued practice can resolve longstanding patterns of dysfunction and suffering.
Mindfulness Series (10 sessions or modules)
You can learn about and practice mindfulness in a step-wise process by exploring ten attitudes of mindfulness, and ten different practices to assist in bringing these into your daily life.
Other tailored mindfulness series can be designed based on your needs.
Psychological First Aid Tools (skills)
These skills are meant to help you address acute anxiety and feel grounded and able to cope and make healthy decisions. The ABC 123 technique I developed can be easily learned and practiced and includes mindfulness, breathing, postive psychology, prioritizing, and other skills to help you in your work, relationships, and personal life. The technique can eventually be practiced in 1-2 minutes and can be used daily, routinely throughout the day, or as needed, to address acute stress reactions, to reduce emotional reactivity, or for sleep.
