I’m a first-time dog owner, and my Covid puppy Murphy has bad anxiety and selective hearing issues which can cause him to retaliate and bite. Rachel came into our home and took Murphy under her wing. She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient…not to mention super fun to work with!! She asks a lot of questions during your private 1 on 1 session to offer the best techniques to send you in the right direction. Most importantly she walks you through the fundamentals of dog psychology to help you understand and learn about your dog better. She also recognizes that treats are not the answer to all your problems...(sadly!) and utilizes other proven tools to command your dog and have them listen! Invest in her, it will pay off later! Rachel was very fast at responding to my request. I have a pitbullx who is VERY reactive to cars, bikes and other dogs. She took the time to communicate with me before meeting to understand Bella and our issues. Rachel is very upfront about not being all about praise and rewards, which I appreciated. I am of the belief that using positive reinforcement all the time may not be the most effective, especially with a stubborn and strong dog. Sometimes strong (obviously humane) discipline is needed. When she came to the house, she took time to sit and listen to concerns and to offer advice and explain dogs’ mentality. She then took Bella out and realized that the first step wasn’t going to be effective, nor second and we had to move to the the highest of the three collars to control Bella. And it has worked wonders. I appreciated that Rachel was honest in what wasn’t working and didn’t try to tell us to just “keep working” with something that was not going to yield results. This has allowed me to walk Bella more often without awful struggle and I know that in turn, Bella will be a happier pup. Thank you Rachel for being honest, upfront and caring. More...

I just had a session with Rachel this week and she was a great help with my pup! My dog, Duke, who I lovingly refer to as my “damaged Dobie” has some big anxiety issues and reactivity. Rachel was great about asking questions to figure out the best tools and methods to use to help us out to work on Duke’s behaviour. She gave me a big list before she left of all of our talking-points, her tips, and tools I should be getting to be a successful reactive dog mom. Another bonus is she is a “balanced trainer” so she recognizes that sometimes tools besides just treats need to be used to get the desired behaviour which is something Duke definitely needs. I can not thank Rachel enough for the love of my life, Nova. True to their nick name of velcro dogs, Nova is always there, right by my side, and has the most amazing temperament. Working with Rachel has been a very exciting journey. From the time she knew Mama Halle was pregnant, we became part of the Rasberry family. She kept in touch with us, sent pictures of the puppies and did FaceTime chats so we could see them. Her knowledge and passion of the breed is evident in everything she does. The dogs and puppies are always her first priority. Her guidance in helping us get puppy ready was amazing. She gave us a new puppy shopping list, tips and tricks for owners and was always available for questions. I have been working with Rachel on loose leash walking, and assessing my dogs reaction to other dogs and how I can handle these interactions. My dog is high anxiety and gets worked up when she sees other dogs; Rachel took the time to listen to me about some of the incidents we've had and assessed my dogs behavior. We were able to determine a safe threshold for my dog, what signs I should watch for, and tips to engage my dog on walks. She is knowledgeable about dog behavior, aggression, and different tools for walking. She is willing to work with you and what methods your comfortable using with your dog.
