Multiple items not in menu we were informed when we first sat down. Wasn’t late in the evening, 7pm. Ordered the beef orzo dish and was so salty I couldn’t get more than a few bites. After informing waitress was offered another item on menu which I declined as everyone else had already finished their meals by this time. Server brought over the same orzo dish to me but with chicken even though I insisted i didn’t want to eat anything else. She stood right beside me forcing me to try the very same orzo, THEN started asking every else at my table if they wanted to try me dish (i guess to confirm if it was salty?). Very odd behavior. Then when the bill came explained that they gave me a “discount” for the meal that I never ate. Unbelievably terrible service and food. Would not recommend. I was impressed with the chef's care and artestry. Watched him prep our plates from start to finish and it was beautiful. The plating was impecable . I had the short rib orzo, and the meat was super tasty and soft. My wife had the cripsy salmon, which was also delicious. My only recommendation would be to think about the esthetic impact of the grey cauliflower puree. Some people are visual eaters and that tone I believe worked against the remainder of the beautiful plate. The service was top notch, normally satisfactory service is good enough for us as we care more about the food and the location. However, our server went above and beyond to make sure we were all happy. We were seated at the back most table which is near the washroom. When ever the door of it was opened and closes some scents were detected by us, the server noticed that we were not 100% comfortable and went out of her way to prepare a table of 4 for us near the chefs. I visited Cheffry’s Bistro on Valentine’s Day with my 6-year-old daughter. We had a reservation (the website says $25 per person), but when we arrived, the staff seemed surprised that we had one. They asked other guests to pay and leave quickly so we could be seated, and we ended up waiting almost 15 minutes.Service was not very fast, though I understand it was a busy holiday. Still, our first food arrived about 40 minutes after we sat down, which was difficult for a young child to handle.My daughter ordered calamari (her favorite dish) and specifically asked the server if it was spicy. We were told it was not, but it came quite spicy. To their credit, they remade it, and she liked the second version.Another issue was the table: it was too high and uncomfortable for my daughter, even though the reservation clearly mentioned a child.
