Long story short, Peach is a malinois mix just under 2 years old with reactivity and no confidence. We've been training with Jon for about 2. 5 months and also had the pleasure to meet Nancy on a Pack Walk. I would like to share Peaches' progress. First thing I need to say: I should have posted this review after day 1 with Nancy! She is amazingly knowledgeable, full of ideas and resources… plus, she made it oh so easy for me to get where I want to be with my 1. 5 year old Yorkie, Billy. A bit of context… I work from home 100% of the time, so building a trusting & loyal relationship + clear communication with my little Billy is key. My cousin (who also works with Nancy) highly recommended her, and now I know why. Results: He now stays in his crate (door open) throughout the day while I work. He listens to all my commands even during high activity mode (playtime). He goes in his crate on his own before I feed him twice a day. He is so calm now, and I feel we now speak the same language!! Amazing Dog trainer, Jon has gone above and beyond to help us with our past dog and our current cane corso. Both were rescues and very fear reactive to people and dogs both on walks and when friends and family visit. Now, thanks to the guidance of Jon and his lovely wife we have made incredible process with our dogs and were able to successfully introduce the dogs to our new baby when we brought him home. Jon et Nancy ont été déterminants dans notre histoire avec Olie. Nous les avons contactés en octobre dernier vraiment à bout de souffle. Nous avons deux jeunes enfants et avions adopté Olie 6 mois auparavant. Ils ont fait une réelle différence dans notre quotidien et dans notre compréhension des comportements de notre chienne. Dernièrement, nous avons dû prendre la décision déchirante de trouver une nouvelle famille pour Olie. Malgré toutes les connaissances qui nous ont été transmises, nous avons compris qu'au stade de vie auquel nous nous trouvons, nous n'étions tout simplement pas en mesure d'offrir l'encadrement nécessaire à Olie. I am the wife of the husband who was talking about the reactive Aussie. I am so proud to say that I was able to walk our boy, stress free through the park a few times with our dog! I have not been able to talk him confidently EVER! I would always have to give the leash to my husband because he pulls and barks so much. I was the dog walker who was on high alert looking out for other dogs so I can A) walk the other day B) hide behind a car or C) be very very apologetic and embarrassed that I couldn't handle our lunging mean sounding Aussie. I've had 4 other dogs before and never sought dog training services. With my new 8 month old puppy, it was very different. I actually wondered if it was possible to get him to relax instead of constantly being on guard and protecting. Nancy spent 3 hours with us showing us different ways of relating to Frankie and letting him know he doesn't have to protect us. The different interventions were easy to learn and worked really well. Jon knows his stuff. In very short order my dog Sadie was no longer pushing by me or reacting to the doorbell by barking. We are now working on walking Sadie on leash and a more serious issue of lunging and barking at vehicles, runners etc.
