We had the opportunity to work with Sam to help our Maltipoo overcome some fears with foreign objects and noises during walks. Sam did a mix of his 1:1 walks with our dog and invited us on occasions to observe her challenging behaviour, provide us helpful tips and also coach us. After 5 months I can definitely say our dog dramatically improved in her walks and interactions with other dogs. She is also more curious and explores her ecosystem rather than wanting to go home after taking her out. Would recommend Sam not just as a behaviourist for your furbabies but also as a dog walker! What I love most about my job is witnessing the transformation when dogs truly become part of the family. It's not just about saying they're family; it's about achieving clear communication and understanding with them. Seeing that mutual bond form and watching real progress in behavior and understanding is truly magical. Those moments of connection and trust are what make this work so rewarding!
What inspired you to start your own business?
In the diverse world of dogs, I observed that many training processes were becoming standardized, overlooking the unique nature of each dog. Just like people, every dog has its own way of behaving and communicating. I founded Barkspace to celebrate and nurture these individual differences, fostering natural interactions and creating personalized communication and training experiences for each dog. My goal is to make the journey smoother and more meaningful for both dogs and their owners.

Just a Bath:
