I hired Australis Landscapes to clean up and re-design two vegetable garden areas on either side of my driveway. It was not a huge project, but is was one that required some demanding manual labour. I could not be happier with the result. Ryan not only executed my plan perfectly; he also added suggestions to make the project better--specifically building a raised garden bed from basalt wall stone. The result is beautiful. Both he and his assistant, Grecia, were a delight to work with. The project was finished quickly, the price was more than fair, and the clean-up was meticulous. Ryan Meres is very hardworking, conscientious and a perfectionist. He’s artistic and does excellent work. He did stonework in a large and mountainous backyard at my son’s house in West Vancouver that had steps going up to a patio from both sides of the backyard, rebuilt the patio and retaining wall, put natural stone on the front deck and the path behind the garage leading to the front deck and rebuilt sections of the large flower bed with trees and flowering bushes. The work took longer than expected because of the rock foundation of the backyard but he persevered. The finished product is excellent. More...

Ryan and his Australis Landscapes crew exceeded my expectations in every way, transforming my large and overgrown front garden into a stunning and low maintenance landscaped paradise!
Part of the project scope included creating two tiers from a steep slope using a variety of natural stone. Him and his crew worked tirelessly on drainage, weed retention and rock placement while wielding their heavy machinery with precision - even in the few days of downpour! Ryan was always up for a chat after work and was transparent throughout.
His fantastic communication ensured that every detail was thoughtfully executed. Ryan tackled weeds and removed literal tonnes of rocky clay earth, followed all my (sometimes whimsical) design, material and planting specifications, and infused much of his own creativity, resulting in a breathtaking garden that draws admiration from all my neighbours and passersby.
I admire his work ethic and how he took pride in this project. His punctuality, professionalism, and dedication make him highly recommendable!

We hired Australis Landscapes to come prune our long neglected fruit trees and hedges. Ryan did an excellent job and our sour cherry and heritage apple trees have been beautifully pruned and have yielded many blossoms this Spring following his excellent pruning.
