This Saturday at midday in East Brunswick a real estate representative in their SUV took the space my learner driver was in the process of parking in. They took this, the only only available space on the busy road in the vicinity of this learner's apartment, the one in which the learner driver was already attempting to park when the representative arrived. This representative ignored alerts as to the fact that the learner was there first, directly adjacent to said parking space, and refused point blank to move. This left the learner driver, the instructor (me), local traffic, and residents with the inconvenience & risk of the inexperienced learner - duly licensed and clearly displaying 'L' plates, needing to relocate & find a park in a remote space. The representative, meanwhile, took a Wood Property sign and placed it in front of what happened to be the learner's apartment block. Clearly, their business selling property is more important than any activity people living in the same property might undertake. It felt to me like contempt. More...
