Starting your own company is exciting– but I did not expect to know so little about business tax, BAS, GST etc. Having someone as reliable, knowledgeable, and proactive like Matt has been an immense relief. This was one of those “You don’t know what you don’t know” situations as I thought the hardest part would be setting up XERO with my accountant’s support and that I can easily manage expenses, invoices, and anything tax related. Boy, was I wrong. Matt has not only fine tuned my XERO set-up and cleaned up some of my messes (no GST on Water??) but he also keeps me well informed of upcoming key timelines (BAS, again?) and sends very friendly reminders about sending pesky receipts to him.
