Absolutely , I have 3 rescues so far from Woodrock and everyone is so attentive and caring. I can t wait to have some more rescues but need a bigger garden first. Those people really care about the animals and are so interested in what happens to doggies after they have been adopted . I am still in contact and send pictures and my first one Charlie ( my one eyed Bandit ) is with me already for 3 years. I will always go back to Woodrock as I admire and. I wanted a friend for my kitty that was rescued as a baby , in a very busy road. She was fed with a mixture of tinned cat food and water ,me lying on my back and she drinking from my chest where she fed as if from her mommy! It caused us to form a deep bond still today ! When she grew, very playful , I looked in the Star for a friend and the 1st mentioned , was a ginger ( now Garfi) we immediately phoned and got in to the car off to WOODROCK, boy did we get lost! They were waiting for us and there was my boy..... rescued from Diepsloot. He grew into a huge fat gentleman and just wants to be loved. Sylvi my lady , is small and very smart and playful . The two accepted each other but do not play. Sylvi is very adventurous and so cute. Garfi is a gentleman and walks around with one of our adopted , real scruffie- looking doggie. He does not tolerate to be groomed and bites , but is ever so cute.His name is Tieki ,after the clown. The vet has to make him sleep in order to groom him,! My other rescue also from SPCA IN RHOODEPOORT , as Tieki, was a pitiful little piece of a puppy , which immediately got my attention. She came home and turned out to be a beautiful Pomeranian . The two doggies get on well although madam , Doempi , calls the shots! I am never without them, and they understand all that I say and loves going in the car for a drive. I have a beautiful garden , completely closed up and safe. So just maybe there is a little, and I mean teenie weenie little one in need of loving home. We went yesterday to just have a look around and I can say without a shred of doubt these animals are taken care of with the utmost care and are given love and the needed attention, I cannot understate this enough I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a new fur baby to expand their family, the staff and owner all have loving attitudes and are very well informed about all the dogs available
