Hosted a bridal shower at Wildside and Tracy and her very friendly and helpful staff members made the day a huge success ( including the assistance leading up to the event). The Sunday lunch was amazing and even though they close at 3pm we were allowed to finish up. Thank you Tracy and Team. The setting is lovely for the restaurant, surrounded by plants and trees. Very relaxing. Now for the food - my daughter and I sat on the deck last Saturday to enjoy breakfast. Met the owner who explained that her husband's butcher supplied them with meat and she only ordered smaller quantities daily. Nice. We ordered the coffee milkshakes which were really good. My daughter opted for the Bloomingdales breakfast which at R55 was good value for money and also good to eat. I ordered a burger because they sounded above par been homemade party from their butcher. I was expecting a nice thick juicy party but instead received a fairly thin one which had broken and the two pieces were placed on the one half of the bun. The other had lettuce tomato and pink sauce and handcut chips in a holder. The patty tasted sour ... not sure what it was. My daughter suggested the marinade maybe was turning. Our waitress did not come back after having it brought to her attention and only after I reminded her did the owner come over and apologise. She said it was probably the marinade the made in the dark because of load shedding. I accepted that but thinking back I don't think it was handled quite well enough. We had lunch here for my moms 75th birthday The service was wonderful, Tara made us feel very special The food was delicious and having a view of the luscious plant nursery made for a very special lunch setting Navigating a wheelchair here is made easy due to the space and because the wheelchair fits perfectly in at the table Thank you for making my Mom’s birthday extra special!
