What’s your interior design process?
Our services can be tailored to fit your needs and your budget with our flexible design packages and process. We can accompany you on as much of your design journey as you need us to, as well as assist remotely on a consultancy basis if you'd like to run with most of the project yourselves. Our process could include the following, depending on the project requirements:
- Multiple site visits (qty TBC on project requirements)
- A detailed concept stage that includes design direction for any custom joinery, furniture and lighting
- A project feasibility stage that help you get holistic project costs early on in the process to help you make the most of your budget
- A full technical package of floorplans, elevations and joinery drawings (TBC depending on project requirements)
- Architectural specification schedules (finishes, sanitaryware and ironmongery) and fully sourced FF&E specification schedules (furniture, lighting, accessories and window treatments) with product links for purchasing
- Onsite project installation and styling
- An agreed amount of third party contractor liaison
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
Studio Nova's aesthetic is eclectic-modern with layered lighting elements, a combination of new and vintage pieces, expertly styled with textural elements and accessories. We are always guided by our clients' styles and work closely with them to achieve a curated look and feel that they love.
What do you love most about your job?
We love the process of helping our clients achieve their create ideas in real life. We love to harness our clients' vision and develop it to work functionally for their needs and aesthetically as they have imagined it.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked as an interior designer in London for the last five years and have recently returned to Cape Town. I have a great deal of international experience on both residential and hospitality projects and am excited to share that with my home city. I have traveled throughout Europe and parts of the Middle East working on a variety of projects that have inspired my design approach and aesthetic.

I have a wide range of experience and strong knowledge of form and function in the built environment. No detail will be missed.
