I am going to try and post a nuanced review that is as helpful as possible and is hopefully not biased by the negative outcome of my application. I had a relatively complex case (in my non-expert opinion), without getting into personal details, I initially contacted 3 or attorneys to assist in this appeal. While all the attorneys indicated that I had a relatively solid appeal case, I settled for Munya primarily because he took the time to call me and explain things to me in detail. I appreciated this as I was very confused and was not sure what to do. The pricing for his services also came at a relatively lower cost than the alternatives I was considering. Now to get to the actual review; I cannot judge the quality of the appeal itself- as this is not my domain. What I can comment about is the communication after the appeal. In my opinion, the communication (their value proposition to me) was terrible. Countless times I had follow up on email follow-ups (so emailing, then emailing a follow up email) with a phone call. I do not feel that things were explained to me clearly, at some point I was told my letter was sent to Cape Town but efforts would be made to have to sent to Johannesburg, then I was asked for an appointment date (which I assumed meant the letter was in Johannesburg) then told the letter was in Cape Town and I had to travel to Cape Town to collect the letter. I did not understand (and still do not) why someone would need to spend +-R3000 in flight tickets to collect a letter/order than could be scanned and/or emailed. To get clarity on this and further understanding I eventually decided to reach out to the Director General who referred me to someone at Home Affairs- where I was told that there was no reason to collect the order as it could be sent to me and that they did not find the initial rejection and could not send it to me. When I relayed this information to Strategies Migration Services, I was initially told that they would look into this. It eventually got to the point where I wanted to leave with or without the order, asked for more clarity and received what I would interpret as an accusatory email cc'ing Home Affairs and implying that; i.) I was denying the existence of the rejection letter (despite the fact that this I had initially contacted and paid this Strategies Migration to appeal the very same rejection letter I was purportedly denying), ii.) failing to answering the initial question (ultimately the point of my communication was to find out what was going on and whether I could leave). Simply put; I found the communication terrible (this isn't to say you will have the same experience). The biggest lesson learnt is to carry out a lot of research before deciding who to use to apply for a visa/or appeal a decision, ask a lot of questions around track-record and how they communicate with clients, read reviews and don't be swayed by price.
