It's a nice place to relax. Great service. The bathrooms on the lobby level are always dirty which is a bit of an issue. The view from the rooms are really beautiful. It's convenient to stay here because you can take a 5 minute walk to the nearby takeouts to grab a bite. The only other problem my family and I had was that the breakfast available is no longer halaal and the vegetarian foods were being contaminated by the meat foods that were close by as other guests used the same utensils to dish out. From the time we arrived at the Maharani hotel we were welcomed with big smiles the staff are super friendly after the 3rd day it felt like home house keeping was amazing they have no attitude they well mannered thumbs up. . At the swimmi g pool area although it says own risk the staff on duty was always ready to assist. The restaurant food was well displayed and delicious Vigour and verve work well under pressure the influx of people having breakfast speak for it self I remember the front desk lady suggest guest to go to lingela but they all said it is ok they'll wait that is a huge compliment. The Maharani is a landmark on the Durban beachfront. It is ideally situated and tastefully decorated, especially the additional bells and whistles during the festive period. It warmed my heart to see children enjoyed the ambience of the hotel reception area and staff members who were ever so polite and pleaseant. ||The rooms were given a welcome makeover with a distinct modern touch.
