My husband and I were extremely disappointed by Saffron. He booked a valentines dinner for us and when we arrived we were told that our table was double booked - no initial apology and no offer of a welcome drink while we waited for our waitress to run around and figure out what to do. We were then told that they could make up another table for us but it would have to be outside. Needless to say we did not stick around. My husband has emailed a complaint through regarding this but has to date not received a response. If we were given a drink and asked to sit for a few minutes while they sorted things out, and simply treated with a bit of respect considering we were paying customers, it would have been a completely different outcome. we called 5 days in advance and booked breakfast for 8am. The person taking my call did not mention that you do not open at 8 but took my reservation. When we got there the staff seemed confused as to whether they should open the door for us and told us there is a meeting so we must wait and after the meeting they will find out if they can open for us. One person then came from the back and seemed to know about our reservation and unlocked the door. We sat down but people were cleaning and sweeping around us and it was clear the kitchen was not running yet. We felt most unwelcome and left. Will not be returning More...
