We had an incredible 3 nights at Blue Zebra; what a magic place! Highlights included the absolutely delicious food, watching exquisite sunsets from the balcony of our secluded, beautiful room, an early morning kayak, and the friendly staff (Bryan at the bar is a champion cocktail maker! ). My husband and I stayed at Blue Zebra for 2 nights at the beginning of May 2021. It was a relief to escape from the cold weather in Lilongwe to perfect summer weather on the island. We stayed in the Chalet Comodore (a beautifully decorated and clean tented chalet) which had a stunning view of the lake (especially at sunset) and felt very private. We spent a lot of our time relaxing by the pool but also managed to fit in a few walks on the island trails and kayaking trips around the island. The food was amazing - for all the curious vegetarians out there, Blue Zebra has delicious vegetarian options for all meals. The staff at Blue Zebra are amongst the friendliest we've ever met and made top class service seem effortless. We loved our stay and would highly recommend Blue Zebra to anyone looking to escape to Lake Malawi for a relaxing getaway. More...
