My old house was renovated ,and people who visit think it's a new house.Many issues were uncovered in the renovation process as the house is ( was ) 60 years old.
My place looks new and all the water damage over the years from poor building ( it's was an old self built house ) and the smells of water are out.

I had a extra large outbuilding done with concrete surrounds.All the levels are perfect ,the water runs off to the grass.The job is well done and the quality is near perfect
How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
This will be about space verse requirement.A single garage is normally 18 m square.Which will accomodate a studio apartment,however if space is available gor an add on,this would make a comfort difference and a bathroom could be accommodated.

On site planning is a must,however the client can inintial re search to get a feel of likes and dislikes.Its always easier to discuss a project with a client if the client has some thoughts of their own.This way we have a starting off point and direction and conclusion is an easier road.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Twa aspects to consider is height clearance on the roof or ceiling,and stability of the loft.Some I have seen have had to have stability remedial work first.

Height clarification,stability clarification, then requirement,anything can get possible if the correct preparation is done.When requirements are clarified, then decisions can be implemented.

New builds have a 5 year structural guarantee and a one year retention and defect guarantee.Small works do not have a retention however a defect guarantee of one year will apply.
