Susan was absolutely amazing after an emergency booking for 22 people for both conference and accommodation. We literally booked on the day of checking as the original place turned out to be a farce. The place should be a 5 star, great conference facilities, rooms are super comfortable and big,the landscaping is just to die for and the views are amazing. The support staff were also wonderful just ready to help with anything so I would definitely recommend it for both Strategic Retreat and holiday. More...

Loved it there. Very friendly people, nice accommodation. Breakfast is a surprise. You write down what you want and you always get something else. 2 Eggs easy over with 2 white toast and you will get 1 egg sunny side up with one brown toast. But we had a laugh about that. Rooms are good, nice swimming pool, with a beautiful view. We would go there again if possible. I put down average at the service because of the breakfast. For the rest service was very good. Ongegund Lodge is a beautiful old Lodge and with additional buildings that have been extensively rebuilt with great care and imagination. The estate is surrounded by beautiful countryside with some interesting walks.||The rooms we stayed in were comfortable with enormous beds and well furnished with loads of storage space, occasional tables and chairs and an enormous stoep. The bathroom had both a bath and a shower. Cleanliness of the rooms was excellent.||There is a very picturesque swimming pool and bar area, a beautiful room for breakfast, a conference centre is also available.||The staff were very friendly and obliging in meeting our every need which included a really appetising breakfast menu with loads of options.||The Lodge is located in a country area without the hustle and bustle of being in the middle of town although there are plenty of shopping opportunities within a few minutes drive.||Overall a nice quiet, relaxing place to stay with great countryside, fabulous views and lovely staff to look after your every need.||Would I go back?
