About

Marina is qualified and highly experienced illustrator and graphic designer. She comes from commercial practice in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

She completed illustrations of realistic (and scientific) fauna and flora, historical buildings, fynbos and birds, abstract works and childrens book characters. She also sells her paintings at local art fairs, and teaches art and art history (she has taught at university level and also taught Montessori art teachers and A level and Matric students).

She accepts commercial and personal commissions from interior designers, owners of historic homes, textbook publishers and the general public, who seek out her unique and vibrant designs.

Her portfolio includes the design of shop interiors, floral designs for products, seascape scene and indigenous tree designs for product packaging (hand-drawn and hand-finished), fashion design (shoes, clothing), product labels, shop signage, designed bespoke paper napkins and other collaterals used at restaurants, and other commercial work.

She works in watercolors, acrylic, pen and ink, and is practiced in etching, photo retouching of negatives, Letraset and stenciling. She can assist in the digital manipulation of images and digital design.
