It was a pleasure for four years to train with Kim four times a week, three times for general fitness and one time for Gyro. Kim trained me in her studio, then during Covid we quickly pivoted to online training, and she was equally adept at both means. I only discontinued because we moved many time zones away but I miss our sessions. Kim Tucker is an excellent, creative, and knowledgeable Gyro instructor. She always made every effort to consistently train my husband and me, adapting to our schedules when necessary. We were able to seamlessly continue with our weekly sessions during Covid, switching to online and, when possible, in person again. We moved from Cape Town back to the US in September 2022, otherwise we would be continuing. I highly recommend the beneficial results of Gyro with Kim! More...

I mentor my clients in setting realistic and achievable goals through diet and exercise.
I like to vary my workouts and keep them interesting whilst focusing on what their needs are and challenge them when necessary to go beyond their capabilites within a safe process to acheiving their goals.

Discipline, nutrition, exercise and having a mentor to coach and guide you. Having a dream board or picture that you see regularly of the body you used to have or the body you would like to achieve. This picture must be visible to you all the time, your screen saver on your phone, photograph on your fridge and in your car.

Seeing my clients get the results they want through having a coach. Seeing clients that didnt like to exercise that now love exercising and recover from their injuries.

My own back problems led me to Pilates and Gyrotonic. I got into loving exercise that way and started aerobic classes in the gym which led me to weight training and weight loss.

Let me guide you through the right nutrition and an exercise plan to meet your goals. Its a journey, no quick fixes but having a mentor and a coach to guide you along the way is the point of difference.

Services

GYROTONIC® exercises are very fluid in motion which focus on the spine. Athletes love it for strength and co-ordination but anyone can benefit from it. The GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods help to prevent and recover from injury or surgery as well as prepare the body for high endurance and advanced athletic activities.

Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Similar to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility.
Pilates is great for toning your muscles, building core strength, increasing your flexibility and improving your balance and posture. It can be a cardio vascular workout as you advance through your progress.

Functional fitness increases your overall strength by improving your balance, endurance and flexibility whilst combining combining strength training with exercises that mirror movements of daily activities. This combined with High Intensity Interval training is great for fat burning , toning and weight loss whilst building lean muscle.
