So so disappointed. I'm not usually the type to complain but when you pay money for a place advertised as a 4.5 star venue you expect certain things. I feel very sad that I have to put this on fb but I don't want others to experience what we did. We experienced false advertising first hand. The pictures on their web site/afristay/booking.com are NOTHING compared to the real thing. Maybe they are old pics, previous owners, staged or what ever but they are not real. 1. No toiletries in bathroom 2. Two small towels in bathroom, no hand towel 3. DSTV didn't work ... also suspended. Only after complaining did they sort it out after 20h30. 4. Advertised that they only had one room left for the night ....WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE. Seriously the only ones out of 10 rooms, even the workers went home. We were locked in the venue, no remote for the gate. 5. Load shedding without inverter or generator. 3 hours on Saturday night and 2 hours Sunday 6. Garden view: well that hasn't been attended to for I don't know how long. See pic. 7. Hosts .... or the lack of them, never seen, where not there. 8. The pool... well .... no words. See pic 9. As much as I would like to compliment them for the "new" furniture and curtains (looks like someone spent some money) it means nothing if the rest of the venue is not up to standard. I know it must be difficult to run and maintain a bed and breakfast/wedding venue/conference venue but false advertising will not bring the people back. Definitely not us!! More...
