I want to thank Jaco for the amazing way he handled our request in sending our 5 babies to The Netherlands and for keeping me calm during this stressful time. It has been such a pleasure in dealing with a team who love animals and understand the owner’s emotions.❤️ My dogs were bumped off flights and Jaco was phenomenal in getting new flights for them. David took time to get to know the doggies before taking them to the airport. All are rescued doggies and therefore their trust in humans isn’t always what it should be. So my doggies have arrived .. we were in Ballito for a few weeks & Jaco @ Animal Travel Services got them a flight from CT on BA. Off they went - then they got bumped for cargo so we’re moved to fly out Sunday - then it all went a bit wrong when SA was red listed. Thanks to Jaco’s perseverance we got a flight on BA out of Jhb .. off they went, spending 2 nights at ORT and then on a daylight flight to Heathrow. A night at HARC and finally my sister could pick them up yesterday mid-afternoon. A huge shout out to Jaco - what a wonderful, warm, calm, professional he is ! Also to Yvette who collected them for their flight to CT, to Kim at Briza Kennels, Cattery & Stables & to Amber at Airpets in the UK & the staff at HARC .. now happily with my sister & her dogs till we’re out of quarantine ! To anyone relocating abroad and hopefully wanting to take their animal-children with them, I would highly recommend using Animal Travel Services. Special mention and thanks goes to our Export Supervisor Jaco Steenkamp, who took on our “complex” situation with utter confidence and professionalism! Our unexpected 3 month long separation from our cats was devastating, scary and heartbreaking, eventhough they were both very well loved & cared for at MonteCATsino Cattery by Crystal while plans A, B, C, D, E (and more) were being made. Jaco always stayed in constant touch with me and was very proactive in trying to solve our dilemma and reunite us with our fur babies! He has my undying appreciation for a job expertly done…. and at all times with a friendly empathetic voice on the other side of the phone and sharing common cat humor which was so very much needed. I honestly didn't realise just how much admin and organizing goes into relocating a pet, but ATS has just been wonderful from the first moment. Thank you so much to the Animal Travel Services team for helping me get my two dogs to the UK. I was informed of every little detail, including pictures of them at the airport check in and updates during stop overs. Thank you, Bernadine, for all of your patience and immediate help provided when needed, you were lovely to work with and my dogs were in the best hands! Thank you, Wesley and Frik, for getting my dogs and their paperwork etc to the airport and chatting to me while waiting, you both helped keep me calm during the process as I knew exactly what was going to happen. Finally I got to sit and wrote this review. It was one of the hardest times for us moving firstly from Durban to Johannesburg then to the UK 🇬🇧. Then of course during covid and lock down! Well we made it! :) one of the best investment we ever did was to invest with Jaco and his team. Oh my word honestly Jaco and his team took allot of stress off us. Our three kids where so well looked after. From the paper work to the collect and delivering or kids to us in JHB and in the UK I cannot fault Jaco and his team one bit! Jaco you truly helped us you made us feel very at ease and I can tell you your team who collect our kids in Durban and JHB was amazing so caring and helpful! How do I know this??? Well Bastian does not easily go to people and hates crates but when you guys arrived in JHB to collect he just walked happily and climbed in! That says allot! Our kids arrived happy and heathy! It can be traumatising transporting your beloved pet but with Animal Travel Services it was an absolute pleasure. They transported my Yorkie, Cooper, from Cape Town to Portugal safely on the 10th August 2021. They even delivered him straight to my door in Peniche as I didn't have a car yet. A shout-out to Animal Travel Services, and in particular, Lucy Porter and Herman Stoltz, for the exceptional service, care and efforts take to get two babies to their new families in KZN. And this amid all the dramas and unrest, with no certainties regarding flights that could be canceled at a moment's notice. There were a few sleepless nights to get everything in place, and the new owners were on tender hooks for what must have felt like an eternity.. Finally they were able to take ownership of their new family members, and I have had updates that they have both settled in nicely and don't seem traumatized by the whole experience at all. Just WOW!! What great service from this copany!! I flew my kitty Holly from Cape Town to Johannesburg and Lucy was with us all the way! ! She was fantastic at responding to my e-mails and messages and once Holly was on the flight, she sent me updates about the flight and checked in with me all throughout.
