This is no longer a 4 star lodge, definitely didn’t get value for our money! The service at the restaurant was a joke never got our order right, food was cold and about 3 times they forgot someones food! The Rooms was not cleaned properly! Will not recommend this at all, I think you will get better service at a 2 Star lodge… The only good thing was the Spa! More...

This hidden find in Magaliesburg is a real treat that you have to try! The location is absolutely beautiful, so peaceful and tranquil with a wide variety of animals and birds. We had lots of fun with the 2 resident Ellies who really add to the wonderful experience. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and so hospitable and the food was out of this world. My husband and I had a fantastic time today. We had a delicious pub lunch while enjoying the view offering general game such as impala, wildebeest and nyala. The service at the restaurant was tops. The highlight of our day was seeing and photographing 2 beautiful elephants up close. The staff in general were very welcoming and friendly. Most unforgettable honeymoon ever! Your service, staff (from reception, restaurant, cleaning and maintance) was excellent. Beyond beautiful place. The food, drinks and everything served to us was superb. The game drive was worth every penny. The guide definitely has a lot of experience and knowledge. I have returned to my favorite childhood vacation spot, and it brought back so many happy and beautiful memories. I left there with tears of joy and so much new memories. What an amazing experience at Askari Lodge. The staff are friendly and amazing from the reception right through. we had to game drives and Lovemore was our guide, he is a gem, his knowledgeable, fun, happy and he did his absolute best with showing us all the animals we wanted to see. As for the elephant 🐘 interaction WOW it was absolutely amazing 👏 the guys are doing an amazing job with them and to see the relationship and love that they have for the elephants as well as the elephants to them is awesome. The food is top notch, the chef Wonder came and spoke to us personally and found out how the meal was. As for the general manager Dave who personally came to every table to see how everyone was, his very friendly and knows what's going on. We met Mark 1 of the contractors who helps with fauna and flora is also fantastic. More...
