The initial interaction was extremely pleasant, because Alex (if that is his name) and his partner made it so, which is what you expect as a customer. To tell you they have gone radio silent would be an understatement, and what’s worse is that they’ve basically stolen my property! I’m so sooo heartbroken, because I never expected this from a fellow young person making a way for themselves. What do you love most about your job?
If I had personal experiences, I imagine I’d love the problem-solving aspect of appliance repair. It’s like being a detective, diagnosing issues and figuring out what’s wrong, then finding the right solution. Every job is different, so there’s always something new to learn and ways to improve. Plus, there’s that instant satisfaction when the appliance starts working again, and the customer is happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’d probably say it was a mix of practicality and a passion for problem-solving. People rely so much on their appliances, and when they break down, it’s a real inconvenience. I’d want to help others by fixing those issues quickly and efficiently. Plus, the job itself is hands-on and always changing, which would keep it interesting. A desire for independence and building something for myself could also be part of the inspiration.
