Very disappointing experience with Unique Painters Unfortunately, our experience with Unique Painters has been extremely disappointing. The project commenced at the end of May, and despite having paid approximately 90% of the agreed amount, the painting work is still incomplete almost three months later. We have had to follow up repeatedly regarding progress and completion dates, with several commitments being made that were unfortunately not met. Communication throughout the process has also been extremely poor, which has made an already frustrating situation even more difficult. We have now been informed that the contractor is taking on other projects in an effort to generate funds to pay workers to return and complete our project, despite the substantial amount that has already been paid. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but taking approximately 90% payment and leaving a project incomplete for months is not acceptable. Customers should be able to rely on agreed timelines, proper communication and, most importantly, delivery of the work they have paid for. We are sharing our experience so that prospective customers can make an informed decision before appointing Unique Painters. More...

Our experience with Unique Painters has been extremely disappointing and we believe prospective customers should be aware of what happened before deciding to use this company. Unique Painters started our project and we paid almost the full agreed amount. Despite these payments the project was not completed.We have repeatedly attempted to have the outstanding work completed or to obtain an appropriate refund. At the time of posting this review the work remains unfinished and the money we have requested back has not been refunded.Unique Painters is associated with RPRSA Waterproofing & Roof Repairs. The directors Kevin Joubert, Louden Vermaak and Marco Venter, have been made aware of our situation, yet despite our attempts to resolve the matter it remains unresolved. What is particularly frustrating for us is that while our project remains incomplete we understand that work on other projects is continuing.Based on our experience we cannot recommend Unique Painters. Our experience with Unique Painters has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.Our project started at the end of May and has been significantly delayed. To date, we have paid approximately 90% of the total project cost, which is a substantial amount of money, yet a considerable portion of the work remains outstanding.For weeks we have been trying to get clarity and commitment on when our project will actually be completed. Despite repeated follow-ups and escalating the matter directly, we still do not have a firm completion date or satisfactory resolution.What is particularly difficult to accept is seeing new projects being taken on while existing customers such as ourselves are still waiting for work that has already been paid for to be completed.At this stage, our experience has left us with very little confidence in the company. For anyone currently considering using Unique Painters, or who already has a project underway, I would strongly recommend being extremely careful about how much you pay upfront or making further payments before the corresponding work has actually been completed.We have paid 90% in good faith. While some companies took weeks to respond, they provided a detailed quote within 36 hours of the site visit. Marco was professional, well-prepared, and even used a drone for a thorough assessment.Their pricing was competitive, and they clearly explained the scope and limitations upfront, which I appreciated. The quality of workmanship was excellent across the roof, walls, palisades, and garage doors. The final result looks fantastic and has impressed both my family and friends.There were some challenges with scheduling and inconsistent onsite attendance, which extended the project timeline. Honestly, im not sure where to begin, like this was a lot, we started this process in November last year, within just a few days, we had a quote that beat others in the market, and there was a level of comfort in each interaction, then the bad happened, Pretoria, a place that never sees rain, got rain every single damn day until almost end of January starting just as we got the quote😂, luckily i can assure anyone that is afraid of companies stealing money and running, this isnt one of them, i will be honest, we were afraid of that ourselves as due to the constant rain, they couldnt paint for 2 months and the deposit had already been paid, yet there was no issue, no theft, just excellence, ive driven past my house 3 times already because it doesnt feel like my old house, it feels brand new, they fixed the roof, patched the walls and painted everything amazingly, i dont usually do reviews but when its well deserved and i am as happy as i am, then why not.
