Unfortunately, while attending an academic conference at the University of Pretoria, my 2 jackets were stolen from my room; 510. I reported the matter to the manager -Wania Malik who promised to do an investigation. What is surprising is that my two jackets were inside the wardrobe together with my 6 shirts and the thief only selected my jackets and left shirts. Wania inquired from both from the cleaning lady and the maintaince guy and they said that they didn't take take the jackets. What complicates the investigation is that, beside the cameras around the elevator area, they are no cameras along the Hotel corridors. I wonder who had access to my room. Till today, I haven't recovered my jackets and I am very disappointed. More...

We had a very bad experience at City Lodge Lynwood. Someone stole our clothes from the wardrobe, 2 jackets and 1 shirt and left the other shirts. This is very alarming because how can a hotel room be unsafe? Their cameras are only around the elevators and can’t see anything on the corridor. House keeping and the maintenance guy had access to our room and our clothes just disappeared. A hotel with thieves😡. I had a terrible experience of forgetting tap and my room almost flooded. I had to clean the mess myself and only one Housekeeping Staff helped without machinery. I had to pay a fee for external service provider to suck the water. I feel aggrieved that an innocent mistake had cost me a lot money that I didn't budget for and worse of all I am a regular guest at that establishment and recommend my family, friends and colleagues to stay there More...
