What do you love most about your job?
What motivated me to Psychology, wasn’t the actual intention of being what people stereotyped as a couch therapist. My goal was to gain the knowledge, the comprehension and the understanding of the behavior of the human condition.
It was not about fixing or treating mental health issues, it certainly was not about making a name for myself, and definitely not about making a fortune. Psychology is not just taking one major and then cutting teeth on a profession
What inspired you to start your own business?
In a country where trauma is served daily as is from a soup kitchen, it was imperative for me to start up a mental health service delivery system that gave anyone a chance to heal. South Africa probably has the worst rankings in violent crime, domestic violence, trauma and general anxiety. I started this practice to offer people premium quality service at a fraction of the premium fee, for many people to afford it, especially those that may have never considered therapy as a way to heal.
