How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Loft conversion is dependent on the pitch of the roof. If your roof angle is above 30 degrees, would work best and if the height measures 2200 mm it would make any conversion easier.
Once the roof height is ideal, the spacial planning would be the next crucial phase in the decision to convert as the space needs to be suitable and functional in all aspects.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Loft conversion process starts with the roof inspection, an architect or structural engineer can be employed to confirm the structural integrity of the space, once inspected and approved, spacial planning and floor plans can be commissioned from a designer or architect. Once plans are approved, the loft is cleared and prepared for the design installation as planned. Designers and Architects can advise on the type of installation can be executed. Site inspections would be required once all the construction is completed, this is to ensure that the installation is as per building regulations and approvals.
What’s your interior design process?
Our interior design process involves, acquiring the brief from the client, site inspection/site survey which requires a call out fee.
After the briefing, we commence with the concept proposal for the client which has a floor plan, renders, sample finish and mood board which will all then be presented to the client for final approval.
Once the concept design is approved we start with the technical documentation to assist with costing and budgeting for the implementation.
The costing and budgeting is then presented to the client and if approved we begin the project management phase which involves contractor employment for all specified fields of design and design installation can commence once the tenders for the scope of works have been awarded.
Snagging is also included in the process as this allows for us to be able to ensure that the installation is completed as per the design documentation.
Site meetings (weekly or daily if necessary ) are as also part of the project management to ensure that all contractors adhere to the building programme and design deadline dates.

We cater for all design styles the client requires, if necessary we also do recommend the styles to our clients.

We have been in business for four years. Combined our designers have seven years of design experience and project management. Our designers have worked on corporate jobs such as Bidvest Bank, Incredible Connection stores and Matrix Warehouses.

Our business offers adherence to client requirements especially with regards to deadlines and we have registered with the design and architectural governing bodies such as IID and SACAP. This ensure accountability for all works carried out by our studio and designers.

We felt the need to influence the world of design in our own unique way. Working for design firms can be great, however one does not get to express their full creative capacity.

Project Management
Project managers in the architecture and interior design industries coordinate and oversee the project life cycle of facilities-related projects. We manage projects from conception through construction and completion. This is achieved by developing construction plans, assist in evaluating and selecting architectural, construction and engineering contractors and coordinate the work of the project and design teams, as well as the numerous contractors who contribute to facilities projects.

Through the use of some of the highly recommended industry computer-generated imagery software, we provide our clients with stunning photo-realistic visualizations that are interpreted from the concept design meetings with clients.

Concept Development
Once the client provides a brief, we start by analyzing the information compiled and we formulate a concept in the form of color pallets, textures, designs, and functionality to suit client requirements.
Some of the sub-stages include; space planning, lighting, and sourcing.
Technical Documentation
After we have approval with regards to the spatial layout from the client, we commence with the technical documentation which assists us in being able to quantify the specified materials and also to prepare budget costings prior to project implementation.
Once a complete set of technical documentation is completed, we submit to the various channels for approvals, being the client, landlord, and council. All the various channels for approval differ based on the type of project which we would be working on at the time.
Our certified registration with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP), ensures that we are able to assist with approvals with all council/municipal approvals that our clients require.

We provide our clients with the full interior design experience by offering a dedicated and talented team that assists in conception and execution per the client's brief.

Architectural Services
We assist clients with all the architectural services they require, whether it is a simple 2D plan to full-on concept design, rendering, costing, build, and implementation.
We also assist with council submission and building approvals for customers who require either for an existing building or a new development.
