What we hoped to be a great experience was for us a big flop! We sat on Christmas Day at around 13:05 and left after 15:30. This because of the slow service on the day. Although very organised. Waiters were attentive, polite and friendly. FOOD WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTING. As in many other restaurants, it was a sauce paradise. Sauces, more sauces and even more sauces. Unfortunately we all know what they serve for. Short rib was super hard and dry ( even slow cooked 🤔🤔🤔) The rib eye taste was hidden behind all the sauce. The sea bass was well cooked but once again swimming in a not so tasty sauce. When will people learn about less can be actually more when your product are GREAT. We are old costumers, we know the restaurant for more than 15 years. This was by far our worst experience. It was a pity and an expensive bad choice. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. My colleague was encouraged to order the short rib after being told that it was fantastic. It was basically inedible and extremely tough. We advised the staff and were told "oh well". We did not expect a free meal but at the very least perhaps a reduction in the price or an alternative meal? My steak was average at best, I had a better steak the night after at the Spur at half the price. We also found the staff overbearing as they were literally at our table every two minutes.
