Malume Logistics and Trading (PTY) LTD

Our initial interaction was positive, with a representative visiting our home to assess the move and provide a quotation. Unfortunately, the experience on moving day and the way subsequent concerns were handled were extremely disappointing .

On the day of the move, we discovered that the truck provided was insufficient for our belongings. We were told that the quotation and the representative had indicated that a second trip might be necessary. However, there is a significant difference between being advised that a small portion of your belongings may not fit and finding that approximately an entire additional truckload cannot be accommodated. Moving is expensive, and customers rely on a professional moving company’s experience to assess the volume of their belongings and recommend suitable arrangements and costs upfront.

We also experienced several instances of damage, including drag marks on our wooden flooring, damage to our four-poster bed during dismantling, chairs that appeared to have been damaged by forceful handling, and dents to our walls.

What was particularly disappointing was the company’s response when these issues were raised. Rather than taking a constructive approach to resolving the damage, the response focused on insurance exclusions and placing responsibility on the customer. This left us feeling that there was little accountability for the condition of our belongings and home following the move.

Having moved before, I understand that moving can be complicated and that unforeseen issues can arise. However, I expect a professional moving company to exercise reasonable care, assess requirements accurately and take responsibility for addressing legitimate concerns when things go wrong.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, particularly given the positive initial impression. Based on our experience, I would encourage anyone considering this company to clarify the truck capacity, contingency arrangements and terms relating to damage before committing to a booking. Thank you for your feedback. However, we believe it is important to clarify certain points for the sake of accuracy. Two quotations were provided. The initial quotation included insurance and protective materials, which was not accepted. A revised quotation was subsequently issued for one trip using an 8-ton truck, with the scope limitations stated in the quotation. We also communicated in person and in writing that a second trip would be required. The agreed service must therefore be considered in the context of the quotation accepted and the arrangements communicated before the move. Regarding the reported damage, the insurance cover applicable to the accepted quotation was GRT insurance. We understand the concerns raised, but insurance terms and liability are separate matters, and any assessment must be based on the agreed terms and the specific circumstances of each claim. We take customer concerns seriously, but we also believe it is important that public feedback reflects the documented quotations, communications and agreed scope of service. We remain guided by the facts and records relating to this booking.

Tabitha and team of movers performed a miracle in less then 1 hour before I had to move.

Thankyou Marcia. We appreciate the support t our business

I got the company on line to move me in October 2024 and paid a deposit of R2500 upon their response and service.

2 days before the move they added extra cherges per the body cooperate advice. A company that has been long in the business should have advised us of the extra charges. We wanted yo use the Company service due to the quotation we could afford at the time. Changing payment and ended up not helping us was unprofessional of them. We were charged services we never received by Thabitha.

Bad money for value company!!! Scam. Please do not use them !!! More...

Good day Lerato, Before the booking we send a list of questions, and one of the question we ask all our clients is if they have Tonnage Limitations either at pick up or drop off. You responded no. Two days before the move you mentioned now you have been informed the truck cannot access the property .The truck you booked. To mitigate i requested you hire shuttle service. We offered our shuttle and you were to only pay a fee towards Diesel. You said we should assume the cost and provide the shuttle free of charge .You then canceled and said your uncle has found you movers. We refunded a part of the deposit last year. A cancelation Fee was deducted and still we had the truck park the whole day.

Reliable Excellent service which can transport and move your goods safely to destinations in South Africa. Amazing reliable removal business to be trusted

The team was really kind so from that front the service was excellent. However the level of diligence and professionalism from the team was disappointing. They are very slow and did not stick to the timelines they had given me. The packers need to be micromanaged and are constantly taking phone calls for other jobs while on your job. The administration/management team does not give a full SLA and misrepresants the services e.g protective wrapping on furniture. My couch and microwave were damaged in the process of moving. Some goods were left behind too. I would not recommend this company. More...
