My plans were submitted end of March 2025. Up until today, I am still waiting on approved plans. Luckily the CoCT copied me in on the emails where they repeatedly asked for the documents to be corrected. The person responsible first said he is in Zimbabwe and almost a month later he is apparently still on leave. The CoCT now wants to cancel my application. After receipt of agreed price , I was handed over to innocent to deal with plans .
At first it seemes ok then the issues started , when I tried getting hold of Aziz non responsive and never replied to any messages sent .
When requesting information Innocent indicated his on leave for a month call Aziz.
Tried contacting Aziz no response then after couple of attempts, Lindsay de mink made contact saying I will get feedback next day .
Never responded.
Then Bryan tigrawar contacted me rush me to make payment as deadline for submission is before 9 .
This process was met with issues and non responsive and rude people worst mistake to have used this company

We found this company on Bark around March 2025 after our original architect had to relocate to Kimberley. Due to time constraints, we decided to go ahead with this firm, even though their quote of R6,600 for amendments to our already-approved plans seemed quite steep.
They did not request the previously approved plans on autocad file.
The amendments were relatively minor, as they were simply to reflect what was already built on-site. We paid 50% upfront, and the remaining 50% upon submission. Initially, the process seemed smooth – the first and second sets of amendments were submitted without issue.
However, by June, things began to fall apart. The company suddenly claimed that the amendments were excessive and insisted we pay an additional R2,800 to include a carport that was already reflected on the plans as “existing” rather than “new.” We found this unreasonable and refused to pay more. From that point on, communication broke down – they stopped responding to our calls and messages for days. When they did respond, we were met with repeated excuses about being overwhelmed with over 700 amendments and they are on site etc.
One particularly disappointing moment was when a recent amendment was automatically rejected by the council due to an error in the file upload – something they were completely unaware of until we followed up with the council ourselves. We ended up being the ones constantly chasing updates, clarifying processes, and managing communication with the municipality. Their lack of follow-through and poor attention to detail made the situation incredibly frustrating.
We eventually requested the AutoCAD files so our original architect could take over, but they refused to release the files, insisting on finishing the job – even though it was clear they had lost interest and were no longer invested in providing a proper service.
In the end, we felt let down and misled. We paid R6,600 and received subpar service, delays, and poor communication in return. We've since returned to our original architect, who is now assisting us properly.
Our experience was deeply disappointing, and I feel that we paid for a service that was never delivered in full.

What inspired you to start your own business?

As an architect, I worked for several firms, but I found myself constrained by the limitations of working for someone else.
