Very compassionate, flexible, and understanding therapists. Their approaches are very different, a breath of fresh air compared to the systematic counselling sessions. I gained a lot of new insights from my session that truly helped me embrace my life. the therapist was warm, knowledgeable, patient, sincere, and made me feel very seen. I learned many useful and effective coping skills to help me manage and I view therapy differently now. Thank you Sol therapy. More...

I had the pleasure of engaging a therapist from Sol Therapy to work with depression. From the client care executive to the therapist herself and the rest of the team (when I bumped into one of them during my session) were all pleasant, polite, and patient. Everyone I interacted with made me feel at ease, especially my therapist. The sessions were done in a very flexible manner, unlike the very systematic kind that I have experienced in other counseling centers. I appreciate this encounter of being met as a person instead of someone who is here to tick some boxes and answer the usual re-directed questions from the therapist. I gained plenty of insights from my sessions here which helped shape my relation to the world around me. Really enjoy communicating with the client care executive too as she is very pleasant and sweet although sometimes there will be some delay in replies which I can totally understand especially when they are busy. Sol therapy truly is something different than the average counseling centers. More...

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a holistic therapy towards intentional recovery from trauma, chronic stress, deep grief, anger, and anxiety through Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. A hand-in-hand compliment to Psychotherapy. It is a form of somatic therapy that uses gentle touch, a language of listening to the body.

Each palm has 17,000 touch receptors and nerve endings. These receptors allow skilled therapists to sense specific subtle internal rhythms and movements of the body's varied fluids (tissues, muscles, nerves, neurons, bones, fascia, etc.). Our bodies are dynamic living systems, and touch is a way of listening to that life force.

When a grounded, balanced, and regulated presence creates a safely held space for the recipient to receive, it allows for the potential to access a deeper sense of embodied awareness. Given the demands of a modern urban lifestyle, we often experience a disconnection between mind and body. Receiving touch can deepen and expand our relationship with our bodies.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy invites a settling of the nervous system through consensual touch and receptive communication. The key components of this therapy are the presence and touch in creating a relational field between the therapist and client that allows for a sense of safety. Safety invites a more spacious capacity for healing. The therapy is based on the idea that the body has an innate ability to heal itself and that by creating a safe and supportive environment, the body can release physical and emotional tension and restore balance. It is a non-invasive therapy that can be used to support a wide range of physical and emotional conditions, including chronic pain, stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

When we listen to our bodies deeply, we begin the journey of coming home within ourselves. Therein lies the freedom to begin again where we are at.

Solution-focused Clinical Hypnotherapy is a brain-based therapy that unlocks the potential of your mind to work for you instead of working against you, facilitating the achievement of your goals and overcoming life's challenges. Unlike some therapies that dwell on the past, solution-focused centers on the present and future, harnessing your strengths and resources to create positive transformation.

The Power of Our Sub-conscious Minds

The success rate of Solution-focused Clinical Hypnotherapy is truly remarkable, supported by numerous studies showcasing its effectiveness in addressing various issues such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression, phobias, chronic stress, insomnia, addiction, and chronic pain. According to the American Psychological Association, hypnotherapy serves as a valuable complement to other treatments, boasting success rates ranging from 70-90%.

One of the key elements of clinical hypnotherapy involves tapping into the power of the subconscious mind to alter limiting beliefs, habits,  and thought patterns. Our clinical hypnotherapists guide you into a relaxed and focused state, allowing you to be more receptive to positive suggestions and access your inner resources.

Our Solution-focused Clinical Hypnotherapy approach is deeply rooted in neuroscience, integrating the latest research on how the brain functions. By sharing this knowledge, our aim is to empower clients with a better understanding of their brains and transform their minds to work in harmony with their goals.

Solution-focused Clinical Hypnotherapy is an effective therapeutic approach that can assist individuals with a wide range of challenges and issues. It can help manage anxiety and stress, address depression and negative thought patterns, overcome phobias and fears, improve sleep and insomnia-related problems, support addiction treatment, manage chronic pain, boost confidence and self-esteem, aid in weight management, enhance performance in various areas, address trauma and PTSD, facilitate behavioral change, and increase motivation and goal achievement. In Singapore, Sol Therapy offers compassionate and committed therapists who use clinical hypnotherapy to empower individuals and promote positive transformation for improved well-being and quality of life.

Breathing and intentional movement are some of the most counterintuitive subjects we can talk about because normally, people don’t think about it as we don’t think about blinking our eyes or digesting our food. These are things that occur naturally from the amazing autonomic nervous system. However, intentional breathing is different; there are certain patterns of breathwork that change how you feel internally.

In today’s world, our society is heavily focused on digital devices and the pursuit of perfection and escapism, to the point where this behaviour is becoming normalized. Unfortunately, this trend is taking a toll on our collective happiness and well-being levels. Studies have shown that despite the various medications and coping mechanisms available to us, we are still struggling to find true fulfillment and inner peace and balance. Even with the advancement we enjoy today, we are even more disconnected from ourselves and others than we have ever been.

The World Health Organization has even declared depression and anxiety as the leading disabilities worldwide, with sleep dysfunction reaching epidemic levels. This is a serious and widespread problem that demands our attention.

However, there are things we can do about it, and one of the things is to create a daily practice of intentional breath work, which is available to each of us for free once we learn it and has no side effects. We need to take action in our own lives because although we need a sustainable world, we also need a sustainable life, home, and body.

Psychosomatic Therapy is a healing modality that uses light touch and awareness to access the body's natural healing abilities. It involves the application of light pressure to specific points on the body using the fingers, thumbs, or palms. This pressure is used to create a neurological release. By bringing awareness to areas of the body that are holding onto past trauma, stress, or emotions, Psychosomatic Therapy can help promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

This technique works on the premise that our bodies have an innate wisdom that can guide us toward healing and balance. With the help of a trained practitioner, individuals can gain insight into their physical symptoms and release underlying emotional and mental stressors and discomfort. Psychosomatic Therapy is a gentle and non-invasive approach to healing that can help individuals experience profound shifts in their health and well-being without necessitating verbal articulation or confronting personal challenges. This modality is a nurturing haven for those seeking silence, deep rest, relaxation, and revitalization.

In Psychosomatic Therapy, one of the many modalities we incorporate is Access Bars and Body Processes, renowned for their transformative benefits for individuals seeking holistic well-being. These simple yet effective practices promote a profound sense of mental and emotional clarity, gently releasing stagnant thought patterns and emotional blockages. This, in turn, can lead to a reduction in stress and anxiety, ultimately contributing to an enhanced state of overall mental well-being. Beyond the mental realm, they also promote physical relaxation, aiding in pain reduction and improving sleep patterns. Furthermore, Access Bars and Body Processes tap into the body's innate capacity for healing, boosting physical vitality and increasing energy levels. In essence, within the field of Psychosomatic Therapy, these techniques offer a simple yet profound approach that fosters a harmonious balance of mind, body, and spirit, rekindling a deep sense of vitality and self-awareness.

Additionally, Psychosomatic Therapy recognizes the intimate connection between the nervous system and emotional well-being. It acknowledges that emotional stress can manifest as physical symptoms and conditions when stored in the body. When a person experiences stress or trauma, the sympathetic nervous system becomes activated, leading to physical manifestations such as muscle tension, headaches, sleep disturbances, or digestive issues. Psychosomatic Therapy's core objective is to induce deep, natural relaxation and facilitate the release of emotional stress stored in the body, offering a straightforward yet effective means to reset the nervous system and liberate pent-up tension. Utilizing sensory-based approaches like gentle touch, Psychosomatic Therapy activates specific sensory receptors within the body, promoting a profound sense of balance in both the mind and body.

In mental health and well-being, psychotherapy, and counseling play vital roles in helping individuals navigate life's challenges and heal from emotional wounds. These therapeutic approaches offer valuable support to those struggling with various issues, providing a safe space to explore emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Psychotherapy, talk therapy, or psychological therapy is a collaborative process between a trained mental health professional and a client. Our therapists use various evidence-based techniques and therapeutic models to address the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects of a person's life.

A key aspect of psychotherapy involves establishing a strong therapeutic alliance between the therapist and the client. Trust and openness allow clients to share their concerns without judgment. Through this connection, therapists can identify and explore the root causes of the client's emotional distress or psychological difficulties. By delving into these underlying issues, clients gain insights into their thoughts and behaviors, fostering personal growth and self-awareness. Additionally, psychotherapy equips clients with adaptive coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges they may face.

Counseling shares similarities with psychotherapy but typically focuses on specific issues or life transitions. It is often more short-term and solution-focused. Professional counselors are trained to guide and support clients dealing with challenges such as relationship issues, career changes, grief, and more. Counseling sessions generally have specific, measurable goals that clients and counselors work together to achieve. The counselor empowers clients to make positive changes and take control of their lives. Through counseling, individuals are equipped with practical strategies and tools to cope with the immediate challenges they may be facing.

At Sol Therapy, we embrace a trauma-informed approach in our psychotherapy and counseling sessions. A trauma-informed approach recognizes the widespread impact of trauma on individuals' lives and emphasizes creating an environment of safety, trust, and empowerment. This approach is especially crucial for individuals who have experienced trauma, such as physical or emotional abuse, accidents, natural disasters, or other distressing events.

Creating a safe and supportive therapeutic space is a priority in a trauma-informed approach, allowing clients to feel secure and open to discussing their experiences. Our therapists are trained to understand how trauma can affect a person's thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, guiding the therapeutic process with sensitivity and compassion. By avoiding re-traumatization, our therapists ensure that interventions are gentle and non-intrusive.

Furthermore, a trauma-informed approach empowers and collaborates with clients in their healing journey. Rather than being passive therapy recipients, clients are encouraged to participate actively in setting goals and deciding on treatment strategies. This sense of control can empower those who have experienced trauma, helping them regain a sense of agency and autonomy in their lives.

Addressing coping mechanisms is another crucial aspect of trauma-informed therapy. Trauma survivors often develop coping strategies to survive traumatic events.

Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapy: Healing Through the Body-Mind Connection

Trauma-informed Somatic Therapy is an innovative and powerful approach to healing emotional and psychological wounds that result from traumatic experiences. It combines traditional psychotherapy with a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, focusing on the ways in which trauma is held within the body and how it impacts one's overall well-being. This therapeutic modality recognizes that trauma affects the mind and emotions and profoundly imprints the physical body.

What is Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapy?

Trauma-informed Somatic Therapy is rooted in the understanding that traumatic experiences are not solely cognitive events but involve a physiological response. When individuals experience trauma, the body instinctively responds through the activation of the fight-or-flight response. These intense physical reactions can impact the nervous system, leading to emotional dysregulation, physical tension, and a range of somatic symptoms.

Trauma-informed Somatic Therapy recognizes that the body holds memories, emotions, and sensations related to trauma, even when the mind tries to suppress or forget them. By addressing the body's physical manifestations of trauma, this therapeutic approach aims to release held tensions, process unresolved emotions, and promote healing on a holistic level.

The key principles of Trauma-Informed Somatic Psychotherapy encompass several core concepts. First, there's a focus on Body Awareness, which involves helping clients become attuned to bodily sensations, emotions, and physiological responses related to past traumas, empowering them to regain control over their well-being.

Additionally, the therapy emphasizes the Mind-Body Connection, recognizing the interplay between mental and physical experiences. Therapists collaborate with clients to understand how emotions and psychological states can manifest physically, aiding in trauma understanding and healing.

Regulation Techniques are employed to provide clients with tools for managing their nervous system responses, including breathwork, grounding exercises, and movement practices, restoring internal balance.

Resourcing is highlighted to support clients in emotionally intense trauma therapy work, involving tapping into internal and external support systems to foster safety and grounding for effective trauma processing.

Finally, the therapy aims to cultivate Embodied Resilience, empowering clients to navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility. This resilience is developed by integrating past traumas into their body's wisdom and fostering self-compassion throughout the healing journey.

Trauma-informed Somatic Therapy offers a profound and transformative path to healing, emphasizing the importance of the body-mind connection in the journey toward recovery and growth. By addressing trauma on both emotional and physical levels, we can find the strength to move beyond our past and embrace a more embodied and empowered present.
