The best massage I have ever gotten. I cannot recommend Karolina enough, she is absolutely incredible at what she does. I booked in for a mix of deep tissue/sports/relaxing massage. Karolina tailored the massage to a tee & checked in with me regularly throughout the massage. The body scrub which I added on was also absolutely amazing,I cannot wait to go back! Thank you Karolina ❤ More...

Remedial massage is used to locate and repair damaged areas of the body and speed up the body’s healing processes. Depending on the problem, the pressure applied in this healing treatment can be strong and deep or gentle and shallow, depending on the situation.

Problems with the muscles can trigger or radiate pain to other parts of the body. Remedial massage aims to trace the original reason for the pain, tackling both the cause of the problem and the symptoms.

WHAT CAN IT TREAT?

Remedial massage has been found to reduce both physical and emotional stress. This massage technique is also beneficial for reducing depression and anxiety, improving sleep and concentration, and boosting energy levels. Remedial massage boosts immunity, corrects postural issues and increases joint mobility and flexibility. Remedial massage therapists can use a number of stretching and mobilisation techniques that help improve circulation, loosen muscles and ease tension. This helps reduce pain and stiffness and increases joint strength, stability, mobility and flexibility. Lastly, it improves sleep and concentration.

Deep tissue massage Workatreat
Deep tissue massage is a massage technique that’s mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue.

It may also promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.

Swedish Massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic tapping strokes, on the topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with the movement of the joints. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, and improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Holistic massage is an ancient method of healing that treats not just the body but the whole person and aims to clear the lymphatic drainage system and eliminate toxins from the body. The treatment is designed to bring about a deep state of relaxation and reduce muscle tension and stress in the body. It benefits the client on many levels – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. In a relaxed state, the body’s natural energy is restored, and the natural repair system of the body is improved.

Hot Stone Massage is a traditional healing ritual practised for over 3000 years in ancient India, China and North America. This massage therapy uses the heat from basalt stones to warm and relax the muscles, allowing the massage therapist to manipulate your deep tissues more effectively. Basalt is a dark, volcanic lava stone that retains heat very well and releases heat to the body. The heat transferred from the hot stones to the deep muscle layers results in improved circulation, stress reduction, pain relief and the elimination of toxins from the body. With the elimination of waste from the body and reduction in stress, many clients notice improvements in energy levels after a single hot stone treatment.

Sports massage is a form of bodywork geared toward participants in athletics. It is used to help prevent injuries, prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition, and help athletes recover from workouts and injuries.

An aromatherapy massage is Swedish massage therapy using massage oil or lotion that contains essential oils (highly concentrated plant oils). During an aromatherapy massage, these essential oil molecules are inhaled and absorbed through your skin. They are thought to promote beneficial changes in your mind and body by affecting the limbic system, a region of the brain known to influence the nervous system.

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which the therapist places special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. This massage therapy eases pain and inflammation, increases blood flow and promotes relaxation and well-being,

Cupping therapy is increasingly being used in weight reduction and the removal of cellulite and as a non-invasive healing therapy.

A lymphatic massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body.

The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues. Some health conditions can cause lymph fluid to build up. Lymphatic massages can benefit people with lymphedema, lipedema, fibromyalgia, and other conditions.
