You'll need a reservation in advance to have drinks at this hidden gem. The door is very hidden, right near the Temple Bar area. The cocktail menu is vast and the service was fabulous. Walking in transports you into another era. Long candles are lit on every table and the lighting is dim and romantic. The menu also has light bar snacks if you are staying while. This is a place where you wring the bell and someone will come down and open the door for you as it is always locked. The decor was really cool and i love the multiple stories with partially outside/inside concept (part of the roof was not closed all the way). We visited the V.C.C three times while we were in Dublin recently - such a fun place! Sabina and Brianna are the best - super knowledgeable hosts and were able to walk us through the immense menu of cocktails. When we couldn't make a decision, they would ask us which spirit we preferred and came up with the most delicious suggestions for us. The ambiance is key - dark and moody with great music and comfortable seating.  They even have blankets on the upstairs patio for when it gets cool. Lots of instagram-mable moments in this place - beautiful and fun vintage decor everywhere!  It's best to call ahead and make a reservation and they were always very accommodating to us. I would definitely recommend V.C.C. for a cocktail while you are in Dublin (and ask for Sabina or Brianna!). More...

Lovely 1930s atmosphere. Cozy candlelit boudoir. The cocktails are authentic, tried a Martini for the first time, to celebrate my birthday! Speakeasy bar alert!As most of the good ones, unless you are looking for it you will miss it!  Once you stand in front of its door you'll think "oh, well that wasn't so hard.  How did I miss it?"A lady opened the door and asked if we had reservations.  Our friends were already inside so we were escorted to the top floor where they were.  Be prepared to wait if you do not have reservations or the place is full but it's worth the wait.The way up the stairs, showed a classy, cool, and eclectic vibe.  So did the all black outfit the staff member who escorted us up was wearing.  When we got to where our friends were, we saw a small room, filled with sofas and antique looking chairs.  Wall paper gives the room a retro look that matches the furniture.  There was also a bar but it was closed at this time so our drinks came from the one downstairs.  About 5 minutes after we had sat down, a server came up the stairs and got our drink order.  I saw a passion fruit drink and knew that was the one for me.  Came in one of those "Gatsby" champagne glasses, always elegant.  Light color with a frothy top, and a burn lemon slice as garnish.  The drink was delicious!  And the ambiance very chic.You are definitely to find a drink (probably more) that you'll like as their menu is extensive, and they have a full bar, plus wine.  This was a great find! This was a cool speakeasy we stumbled across thanks to Google. Amazing menu highlighting drinks throughout the decades and offers great food! Only downside is it's a bit pricey for what you get. Being American, speakeasy's are a fun experience which is what you pay for but the decor and staff was a little lack-luster for what you would expect. Still loved the experience we had for our honeymoon so definitely worth the visit. (Just no need to stay for the three drinks each we had even though they were delicious and on point to the decades we ordered). 4/5 Still a great stop, don't forget you need reservations! More...

we had a lovely evening here, it's a gorgeous place and so hidden away. The cocktails were so unusual, tasted lovely and well priced too. Anne_Marie was a brilliant host, so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back Probably wouldn't eat there again though, starter platters were fine if quite expensive but the mains weren't worth it. 25 euro a dish for a bowl of pasta that was lukewarm and a battered fish and chips that was lukewarm and very anaemic batter. I expected high prices so the cost was ok but you do expect a decent meal for that money. Having said that looking at other reviews the food seems a bit up and down so maybe we were just unlucky on that. Un general a large thumbs up for VCC More...
