I’ve had a different experience from others here. While the doctor I attended was great, I found it a battle to get my prescription each month. I completed my first month but when looking to get the second month I was refused it and told by the chemist I was only given a month. I phoned and resolved it but again the same thing happened the next month and I was refused the prescription at the chemists which was quite humiliating. I phoned to cancel my 3 month review as I couldn’t review something I hadn’t been on for s month and was told it wasn’t their fault and thy weren’t prepared to do anything except phone the chemist. I confirmed with the chemist the fault was with the Hub. No apology, €200 down and now back at the beginning feeling like shit and no help. I would recommend to others to spend their money on one of the other clinics instead. More...

Super service. I felt listened to and understood. The webinar is also a really good resource. Can't thank the hub enough. I feel excited and womanly again

I crawled into The Menopause Hub about a year ago. I'd had success treating my menopause symptoms for the previous two years with herbs, but I'd reached the point where I needed something stronger. I couldn't get a decent night's sleep. Sleep deprivation fanned the flames of a persistent generalised anxiety that I couldn't shake no matter how much exercise or meditation I did. My libido had fallen off a cliff, and my erstwhile sharp mind was swathed in fog. I felt like s**t. I couldn't take it any more! Like many women in middle age, I have a lot on my plate, and I can't afford to be at a quarter mast. The doctor at The Menopause Hub made a careful note of my symptoms, checked my bloods, and prescribed an affordable daily medication. She answered my questions, and gave a detailed explanation of what was going on in my body, and how what she was prescribing would help. She spoke to my concerns about HRT health risks and put my mind at ease. Within a month, the balm of sleep had returned to my life. My mind was getting sharper by the day, those horrible hot flushes and night sweats were disappearing, and my energy and libido were returning. My anxiety was calming down, my energy and mood were elevating, and I felt a whole new lease of life. Within a couple of months of HRT, the menopause symptoms that had been driving me mad had dropped by nearly 100 percent. In my estimation, the health risks and misery associated with chronic sleep deprivation, alongside the stress – and even the loss-of-earnings – involved in trying to function with brain fog, anxiety and exhaustion, far outweigh the very slim risks connected to HRT. (Overdoing it even slightly with wine, eating poorly and getting insufficient exercise are much riskier to health.) To women debating whether to try HRT, I strongly suggest a consultation with The Menopause Hub. What really marks out the Hub is its dedication to, and expertise in, this key turning point in a woman’s life. The doctors here specialise in menopause and women's health. Speaking personally, I needed the reassurance of specialised menopause treatment, rather than a visit to my GP. At The Menopause Hub, aside from meeting expert menopause doctors, you’ll have the pleasure of meeting Loretta Dignam, the warm, inspiring, self-defining Dublin woman who founded the Hub. Loretta’s enthusiasm for women living their lives to the full, and aspiring to fun and joy in the second half of our lives, is a healing balm in itself. If you're feeling wretched with menopause symptoms, take control and get a consultation at The Menopause Hub. You won't regret it! More...
