I love Marketing. It has never felt like a job to me. It’s a passion.

Where did it start for me? On reflection it was actually before my days in the mid-90’s in UCD (best days of my life btw!). Watching my dad growing up. He could strike up a conversation with anyone. People loved him and found him interesting – he always had a story to tell. He taught me about how to connect – authentically – with others. Which is what makes my marketing strong. If you can’t connect, you will never succeed with your marketing.

I’ve been very fortunate in my career. I went through all the steps of executive to middle management to Director; learning marketing, stakeholder management, managing big brands with big budgets, coaching and leading teams, developing nationwide campaigns, launching big product innovations, convincing the board, then eventually taking a seat at the top table in the organisation... And I loved it. Marketing means being at the core of a company. You’re the heart, you represent the most important stakeholder of all: the consumer.

And I always thought this would be it for me: I was on a straight line to Managing Director or CEO, that’s where I’d be the happiest. But was it really what I wanted?

In 2018 I established my own Marketing consultancy. Using my twenty plus years of industry experience, I set myself up as a Fractional CMO where I help you set your marketing strategy and stay on to coordinate your marketing activities, giving you the senior marketing leader that you need, at a price you can afford.
