Avoid if possible. Mark installed a tap incorrectly and promised he would be back to sort it but never turned up for scheduled visit, ignored my messages and calls, I ended up paying another plumber to rectify the problem. Would not recommend.

Unfortunately I have had an extremely poor experience with Mark.
The programmer for my gas bouler has dual controls. Lately, the HW control has been giving hot water and central heating, instead of HW only.
Mark replaced the motorised valve.
Once the commanded boost was finished, the boiler was constantly on and needed to be manually turned off.
Regardless of which control used, only central heating was provided, no hot water.
Mark was uncontactable the afternoon and evening of the replacement and for the following 2 days.
On day 3, an electrician checked the timing clock and the boiler and found no issues - sighting plumbing and the new motorised valve as the issue.
Mark was uncontactable for another 3 days.
When I finally got a response, now 6 days into having no hot water, he told me that he'd "taken his time to explain the system to me" and "sure didn't you say you had a problem with the timing clock already".
He has ignored that I am without hot water, ignored that an electrician has checked the timing clock and continues to ignore that the valve he installed is not working.
He proclaims to never leave people in a position where they feel the job isn't satisfactory and their money has been wasted (he charged 280e for the call out and motorised valve) however he has done nothing to help or rectify the situation.
He refuses to send a receipt detailing a breakdown of costs or even a receipt for the new valve that is faulty.
I would advise anyone thinking of using MC Heating and Plumbing to reconsider.

Mark did a first time install of a shower for us last year. He ran into lots of problems during the install. Anyway the isolater switch failed after a few months and we had someone else come out to replace. We were still having sporadic issues with the shower as it seemed the power sometimes wasn't going to it. Just today I had an electrician come out and take a look at the wiring. He found 5 major faults one being the shower wasn't connected to the earth which meant it wouldn't trip if there was a fault which basically means it could have killed us. I'm writing this review now as a warning to anyone who has had a shower fitted by Mark to get it inspected. The electrician told me that whoever installed the shower hadn't a clue what he was doing and should not be let near electrics. More...

If you are thinking about using Mark, please give this a read. First and most important, he is NOT registered with the RGII. Neither his name or company name are listed but he wears an RGI logo on his tshirt. I contracted Mark to move a rad in my new house. He spent hours ‘moving’ the rad and when he finished he said he was all wrapped up and was very eager to be paid, which we unfortunately did. We had brand new wood floors put down and fast forward a week, we realised our new rad was not working. Mark came out to have a look and barefaced lied to us, he said that it was just one pipe that needed to be connected when he actually had not moved the pipes at all. He just screwed the new rad on the wall. Because of the rads previous location, we had no choice but to pull up the entire new floors which cost us time and money and ultimately delayed us moving into our home. Mark’s prices are outrageous, he charged us €260 to change a ballcock, when most plumbers charge between €80-100. When I refused to pay him the above, until the rad was working, he stood in my house screaming and threatening me stating he was going to rip the new shower (which was already paid for) off the wall. Mark left our house that evening, paid, with the rad still not working. He said the only way to get it working was with a power flush of the entire house. Which he said he would do for another €180. Of course, we did not want to use him so we found a reputable plumber to come up and check his work. The reason the rad did not work was due to the pipes being laid incorrectly and the joints not being tightened. It is clear to me now that Mark was clearly trying to take advantage of young, new homeowners. According to the plumber, Mark’s work is incredibly sloppy and lazy and he takes shortcuts to make the work easier for himself. Lastly, Mark cannot commit to the times he agrees on. Every occasion he came to the house, he was at least 2 hours late otherwise, he just did not show up and made elaborate excuses. I’m not happy with the work that had been carried out I think the work should off been more professional and neater I’m left with electric wires coming down the ceiling being hidden in a big plastic conduit in my son room in the middle of the wall and above the shower electrical cable and water pipe beside each other which i think is unsafe so on considering they are live wires and also in my attic cables left exposed from one side to another on walking area trip hazard ready to happen for the money I’ve paid is ridiculous and I have to get a plumber and electrician to repair this hideous job ! Messaged Mark one Saturday st 5pm through Facebook to see about getting an outside tap fitted and emersion replaced for my mother. hoped he would get in touch the following week. Had a reply within the hour and he called out within the next hour, I couldn't believe it. Really nice fella who knew his stuff as the immersion wasn't an easy job given the tank is about 30yrs old. he also did a little non plumbing job for me too, drilled a hole through a solid concrete wall from our kitchen to sitting room which I've wanted done ages but didn't have the right tools myself so I could run a cable through for the tv, my mother thought he was superman 🦸♂️ 🤣 Would definitely recommend and will use him again.
