We booked Magic Mal for my son’s 5th birthday party. The booking process was uncomplicated and he replied to all messages promptly.
The show was great, perfect for that age and a bit older too. The 16 children were captivated for a full hour and the house was full of laughter. The birthday boy had a smashing time too and keeps talking about how funny and great Magic Mal was. Very happy customers!

To add to my review under this one, Mal called me the next day to apologise and offered me the day after the double booking with a discount. I'm not out to ruin anyone's career and mistakes can happen so in fairness I wanted to add that he tried to make amends... albeit too late. Instead of sending a generic " I'm sorry I'm fully booked" email response after I had paid a deposit and he had already stated he was able yo commit was a bit shabby. A phone call explaining would have cleared it up. Instead the email made me a bit annoyed. I think the lesson learned is carry a synced diary before you send anyone a link to pay a deposit Mal! Magic Mal approached me saying he was free on the date I requested for my childs Birthday party. After a couple of emails where he stated the date was available he sent me a paypal request for a deposit which I paid. He returned the deposit 10 minutes later and emailed me thanking me for my inquiry but that he was not available due to being booked. How long have you been interested in magic?
Since I was a small boy. I always wanted to be a performer. Learning magic gave me the confidence to get on and do it!!
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
Party games and dancing competitions with small prizes. A hilarious family magic show that is highly interactive! The kids do the magic with me! Lots of surprises and laughs along the way. Plenty for the adults too!
What do you love most about your job?
No show is ever the same twice! Every audience reacts differently! I love to see the smiles on the faces and laughter during the show and as I leave I can see I have helped some people to thoroughly enjoy their celebration!!! That gives me a warm "fuzzy" feeling inside!!
What inspired you to start your own business?
My daughter loved magic so I started doing little shows for her, the family, and the neighbors at Halloween and Christmas. Everyone loved it so I just developed them more and more until I felt I was ready to perform to the public!

Aside from my shows which are always top quality!! I am a professional.
I go out of my way to give the customer a brilliant experience from the first contact to walking out the door at the end of the show!!!
I can perform my show in clubs pubs hotels gardens front room large or small. I've even done it in a real castle!! We can always find a space to get the kids buzzing!
I am easy going and have a genuinely friendly nature.
Most of all, I just love entertaining people, especially children!!

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I bring antibacterial sanitiser and hand wipes to my shows and all equipment is thoroughly sanitised after every show!
I have limited the amount of physical contact with my audience as much as is humanly possible.
Magic shows
A one hour family magic show. Aimed at the children of course but plenty for the adults to enjoy too. The show is highly interactive. I get the children up to do the magic! the show is packed full of surprises and laughs.
Sometimes I ask some of the adults to help too!! My magic pet dog Digger can be very funny and very bold on times!!!
Party Games and dance competitions
1 hour of party games eg. Pass the Parcel and Musical Statues. I provide the parcels and there are prizes for the best statues!
I also get the children to do dance competitions (for both boys and girls!) eg. best Disco dancer, best Ballet dancer, best Robot dancer, best "Fortnite" dancer. Small prizes for the best in each category.
(I provide all prizes!!!!)
Also a prize for the best overall dancer!!!!
I finish with a few minutes of my bubble machine. This allows children to jump around trying to catch the bubbles.

2 hour "STRESS FREE PARTY PACKAGE!!"
This is great for ALL kinds of celebrations! It can really be the bulk of your afternoon with the children.
Just provide some treats and drinks and let them go!!! You can then sit back and relax while they have a great time!!
