General Builders

I used H.I.M Construction Ltd to build my extension and garden and could had not been happier. The guys are very skilled, creative and their know-how was just great; Working with them from start to finish was a pleasure and stress free experience; Hristo is a fantastic project manager, making sure that every next phase of the project was planned and pre-organized, preventing unnecessary delays and disappointment. I would highly recommend this company to anybody who is looking to improve their homes in a great building standards. More...

Q&As

Measure the head height. The minimum height you need for a loft conversion is 2.2m, and you can easily measure this yourself. Take a tape measure and run it from the floor to the ceiling at the tallest part of the room. If it's 2.2m or more, your loft should be tall enough to convert.

Stage 1
Scaffolding is erected to provide independent access to the loft.
Stage 2
Structural beams are installed into party walls to form independent timber floor support and front roof elevation with the dwarf wall.
Stage 3
Create Dormer structure and install Velux windows.
Stage 4
Complete roof tiling to both new dormer and front roof elevation.
Stage 5
Build interior partitions, doorways and ceilings.
Stage 6
Install double glazed windows. Floor and wall insulation.
Stage 7
Create a new access staircase between loft conversion and the first floor.
Stage 8
Then plasterboard throughout and finally finish with a plaster skim.

We are in the construction business for more than 11 years. We have build more than 50 house extensions.

I love to see my customers satisfied with the finished project.
