Worst provider we have dealt with. Cannot recommend. Regularly add uncalled for charges to the bill with no warning and then charge us for not being comfortable paying by direct debit! Avoid at all costs.

RIP OFF COMPANY CHARGING EXTORTIONATE EXIT FEES - We were with Focus for many years and after our agreement had expired, decided to use another supplier for our mobiles. We have now been charged almost £1,000 for them to provide us with the pac codes to move our mobiles to another provider. Apparently they can charge cancellation fees even though our agreement had expired. So be warned - even though you think you are signing a contract for 24 months you will still be charged an extortionate fee should you dare to take your business elsewhere. More...

Focus setup an addition to Bauvill's phone system in only a couple of weeks. That included handsets being ordered and delivered, the new system being programmed, logins and password set up etc. .. Focus Group is an awful company, driven by modern technology alone, and providing abysmally poor customer service. Be prepared to be always wrong when having to deal with their " customer service team " and any chance of ever talking to a member of staff in person is almost impossible. Focus Group erroneously charged us to house two rogue numbers for several years, and when ultimately having admitted this failing, they awarded us a credit note of £ 578.00 which their ran down over a period of SIX years, by not allowing us to port one telephone number from their platform. The complaint forms that you complete self delete on their systems in the course of 28 days, and you have more chance of winning the lottery than ever being able to a Focus Group member of staff. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. My company Simpson Marine were with Focus for a good 10 years plus, I would say a good customer. We decided it was time to update our equipment and in doing so we had a number of quotations including Focus. We decided to move to a new supplier and were told we had to give 90 days notice (although we were out of contract) so 90 days were given and the new comms company took over. 3 weeks later £3,802.00 disappeared out of my account. Yes it was Focus claiming I had entered into a 7 year contract on my broadband. After further investigation, it was when our broadband was upgraded which they told me they had to do, I had to sign a docu-sign online to enable this upgrade to take place. They claim in the small print that this was consent and a binding 7 year contract. I have since received my money back by reversing the direct debit mandate. They are still pursuing that we owe the money and I look forward to seeing them in COURT (DISGUSTING BEHAVOUR FROM WHAT IS PERCEIVED AS A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY) If I treated my customers like this I would be out of business in no time More...

We have recently started a new business and went with Focus Group for our full IT and phone package. From the first call with Kerrie Allison to the massive IT support from Daniel Rowe I can honestly say it has been a delight to work with them. Kerrie made sure we got an excellent deal and when you are a start up company every penny counts. She was also extremely friendly, spent lots of time on the phone explaining everything and nothing felt like too much trouble. Daniel has been absolutely incredible. We took out the full IT support and he has done absolutely everything from set up the PCs, fine tune the email packages and worked with our booking software provider to get our system up and running when there has been lots of teething problems with them. The support he has given us has been second to none, we have felt like his only priority which is incredible for a business who must have hundreds of clients - thank you :) More...

DO NOT SIGN UP! YOU WILL BE TIED IN FOR YEARS WITH TERRIBLE SERVICE. We just got told we would have to pay £3,742.82 in order for our company to end our contract with Focus and yet the service they have been providing us for broadband for a small shop has been absolutely terrible from the beginning. If you are looking at a VOIP phone provider DO NOT use this company. Constant problems with our lines, very poor customer service. When speaking to their Customer service team no Management is available to speak to. When you ask for Contract details they can only log the request and you cannot speak to anyone. So far I am waiting over 2 weeks for them to get back in touch. Not great for a communications company. More...

Awful tech support. Never hit their SLAs, the technicians don't know how to fix problems, unless you chase there is no contact. If you are thinking of choosing Focus Group as your supplier please read this. They have recently had a price hike, which when questioned why it is so high they said that as part of the agreement you sign they can effectively increase the amount to whatever they see fit. So the price that you agree with them is not the price you will be paying, also as part of their terms they state "Focus shall automatically apply an annual increase in charges based on the consumer price index plus 3.9%". Ofcom clearly states that "consumers and small businesses taking out new landline, broadband or mobile contracts should be allowed to exit them without penalty if their provider increases the monthly subscription price agreed at the point of sale". Focus however have replied to say that to cancel our account would cost £1000. I would strong advise against using Focus Group. Once you sign that contract you will be faced with increasing costs and terrible customer service. More...

As a manager I understand you can win every day and every time, i have given a 4 star rating because i have had issues with Focus recently and over the last 6 or 7 years we have been using them. Yes i agree that at late this has slipped a little, Covid may have played a part in this with staff working from home with no manager to keep an eye and we can all be found guilty of this in some small way. i can however say with both authority and certainty that my issues and comments have been lessened to, actioned upon and improvements have been made. some individuals such as Callum Whicker and Laurence Glen in particular have been instrumental in returning my faith to focus. we have a long way to go ill grant you but we are moving inn the right direction. Businesses and Sysadmin please avoid this place if you want peace of mind and don't want to get robbed. Worked in UK and several other countries in IT with many different job roles in last 14 years but throughout my entire career I never met any company or organization who robs their customer. Our firm has been a happy client of Focus Group for the better part of a decade now and while we have experienced strong growth throughout this time (over 600 users spread across the UK and Internationally), Focus have always been able to understand our telecoms needs, grow the system with us and maintain it well, our downtime has been absolutely minimal. The support team always make best efforts to deal with our highly varied queries quickly and effectively. Recently sorted our new company phone contracts with Andrew and Mhairi. Initially very straight forward and everything went smoothly. Actually very impressed with the outstanding deal they was able to get for us on the new phone contracts. Then last minute a hiccup through no fault of their own. Both Andrew and Mhairi jumpped on the problem and I am very pleased that they we're able to overcome the situation with no addtional cost to us.
