Services

General personal care is essential for good health and self-esteem. Our carers have a deep understanding that providing and receiving personal care is a very intimate activity. Therefore, establishing trust and communication is a critical part of our personal care services. We place emphasis on building strong relationships so that clients feel no loss of dignity, feel at ease and feel happy with their carer. We also recognize the importance of encouraging clients who are able, to carry out certain aspects of their personal care routine by themselves. Again, this can play a big role in maintaining high self-esteem.

Our companionship and homemaking services help to make each day brighter and easier for our clients. Whether you require just a few hours of light housekeeping a week, or a full-time arrangement to assist with medications and meal preparation, our services can be tailored to suit your individual requirements.

Palliative care takes a holistic approach to each individual with the aim of relieving the symptoms of disease. Patients can avail of palliative care at any age, and at any stage in a serious illness. The disease may be curable or life-threatening. Regardless, Comfort Keepers offers palliative in home care services designed to improve the quality of life for both the client and their loved ones.

In our experience, older people are happier when they can remain living in their own homes independently for as long as possible. This is especially true for those living with dementia.

Evidence suggests that by remaining engaged and active, a person with dementia can maintain their skills and independence for longer.

When it comes to carrying out daily tasks, dependence on others will gradually increase. How quickly this happens depends on the individual, but more support and care will be needed as time goes on.

This is where Comfort Keepers carers can provide the support and assistance required in the home to the family and their loved one. Our experienced Clinical Nurse Managers will develop a tailored care plan based on the family’s needs which is implemented by experienced carers.

Respite care is short-term care that provides a planned programme of care visits, from a few hours in the day to a few weeks. Our respite care programmes are designed to provide unpaid carers with a valuable, time-limited break while minimizing any upheaval and stress to the client.

These programmes can be provided in the client’s home or in a variety of out of home settings. Respite care is an essential part of the overall support that families may need to keep their loved ones at home.

Comfort Keepers disability support takes a person centred approach to disability care. We provide support with daily living activities, environmental orientation, support with social activities and physical exercise.

The at-home care services provided are based on a comprehensive support plan set out by your dedicated Comfort Keepers team. It may include a carer for a few hours a day, or live-in care seven days a week.

Our carers and personal assistants have a holistic and interactive approach to disability care, and are dedicated to the ensuring the well being and independence of those they support.

Live-in care is when an expert, professional carer moves into a spare room of the clients home to provide round-the-clock support and security. Professional carers undertake their work as set out in a personalised care plan.
